Ah Screw...

9:13pm: My enjoyment of the internet has been serverely curtailed. Today my laptop's screen suddenly stopped working...like one mintue I was looking at it the next it faded to black and I couldn't get it to come back on.
Eventually after leaving it for half an hour, my Grandpa came by to help fix up my car's headlights (thanks Grandpa!) it started up again, but shortly after 5:30pm it went blank again and I can't get it working! It's really weird since the screen works when the laptop starts up I get the logo and all that, but then the screen stops working just as it gets to the Windows screen.
And the laptop's memory board and stuff is still working, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be able to type this up. Luckily, among the crap my little bro has left downstairs under and around the Box Thing included an old computer moniter, which I've plugged into my laptop and am using to type this up. Probably is, the difference in resolution really makes the eyes burn.
So I need to get me a new laptop, but at the moment I'm quite poor and a decent new laptop will cost me more than $2,000. So what to do? I could try and get a loan from my grandparents, but they thing I should be saving for a new car (what with all the trouble this one has given me), ugh.
I didn't go to work today, seeing as I was still sick and I couldn't drive the car without a proper indicator light anyway. I do hope though that I won't get in trouble for that...also I have to remain calm in regards to driving tomorrow morning. I'm a little nervous, but I can't let that get to me. If I let the anxiety get to me I could be totally screwed! I need to drive for my job, so yeah, let's not think about that.
How intriguing, C&I is showing a doco on the Death Penalty in the US, Texas specifically where they apparently have an execution every 3 weeks. That's pretty damn sick. What the fuck is that? Take a look at yourselves, geeze.
Well, anyway, memes:
3x Thursday
When I Die
1. When you die, do you want to be buried in the ground or cremated? (If cremated, what do you want done with your ashes?) Why?
Oh hey, that's cheerful...To be honest I don't really know, on the one hand, getting buried is damn expensive and takes up room and stuff...On the other hand, getting cremated seems...creepy. Either way I want my eyeballs with me, something about been buried or cremated without eyeballs freaks me the shit out.
2. Do you believe in life after death, or do you believe that when you die you are dead? Why?
Life after death, because the alternative just seems to horrible to contemplate, plus after everything we do and learn in life if there's nothing afterwards what's the point?
3. If something happens to you, do you have a directive of any kind somewhere that says what should happen to you? If so, what does it say? If not, do you ever think about doing one?
I probably should...especially in regards to my stories, I want them to go into the grave with me, well at least most of them since they're so damn embarrassing!

Statistics
There was a widely bruited-about statistic reported last week, stating that 1 in 4 Americans did not read a single book last year. Clearly, we don’t fall into that category, but . . . how many of our friends do? Do you have friends/family who read as much as you do? Or are you the only person you know who has a serious reading habit?
Well, I don't think my little bro has read any books this year, but I have seen him read stuff...Mein Kampf once! But yeah, I think I read the most of anyone in my family, but often I read junk and stuff, so maybe it doesn't really count. LOL
Thursday Threesome
::Over the Rainbow::
Onesome: "Over-- the Rainbow" Has someone 'Somewhere' done the song better than Judy Garland did in the movie? ...or does she still 'own' it in your opinion?
I've never heard anyone but Judy Garland do it...so, yeah I'd say she 'owns' it. Although now I'm recalling maybe some guy sang it, and that was just weird...
Twosome: the-- best all time album in your collection? ...or one you'd like to have? Sure, the Go-Gos count, but hey...
Hmmm...I'd say...The Beach Boys because you gotta love those Beach Boys, the good old songs, those were the good old days.
Threesome: Rainbow"?-- As sung by Billy Ray Cyrus? (Yes, on his latest album.) Who has done the best "cover" of a song you like to listen to? You know, better than the original artist...
Well, some woman sang Tainted Love before Soft Cell did, and it wasn't too good I have to say. So yeah, I'll go with that one.
Damn, this moniter was all dusty and stuff when I went to get it, so now my nose is all itchy. That aside I've still got the cold so I should get to bed early to keep my strenght up.
And that's all I have to say right now.
