Now That's Good Eatin'!

10:04pm: Dinner at M and Grandpa's house was very yummy indeed! It's been ages and ages since I've had a roast dinner, wha with the parental units being gone and all.
Also Cousin Mack was over, he's now four and is he younges of our first cousin and the only Calder in the male line (Grandpa is pleased about this especially with all the family history stuff he's done). Cousin Mack is pretty cool for a little kid, and also he's going to be tall because he's only three and he's all ready half my height! I feel really short now.
Anywho, moving on, I should be getting to bed soon because I woke up early this morning for no particular reason...this did allow me to go to Church this morning though, they've changed the layout of the church now so it faces the right way. Also there was music this week! Or maybe they have that every week in the mornings. Anyway, it was rather nifty.

::Medical Anomalies::
When was the last time you...
1. Went to the doctor? why did you have to go?
I think it was at the beginning of July or something, because I was going shopping when my ear chucked a spaz on me. It turned out to be my jaw...it had been annoying me for a while...but it's OK now.
2. Had surgery? For what?
Er, when I was six months old for a twisted stomach. Ouch!
3. Visited someone in the hospital? Who was it?
Ummm...I think it would have been my Aunt Jo after Cousin Mack was born...unless I've got my dates wrong, then it would have been my Grandmother before she died.
4. Took a prescription medication? For what?
This morning...to stop the voices in my head for brain reasons. :OP
5. Injured any part of your body? What were you doing?
Two weeks ago now I gut my finger while cutting an avocado for lunch at work, I've still got a scar on my finger!
6. Ate something that gave you food poisoning? What was it?
Never had food poisoning, knock on wood...although I have felt a bit off after eating from the salad bar at various resturants, but who knows?
7. Had a cold/allergies?
Last time I tried to clean my hous, I think, because I'm allergic to dust.
8. Did NOT heed a doctor's advice? What did you ignore/do differently?
Well, it's not a doctor, but I have ignored all my dentists advice to get my wisdom teeth out, I'm too scared to!
Saturday Six
1. Considering all possible factors about a person that make us different, like age, appearance, religion, race, origin, sexual preference, etc., with 10 being the most prejudiced and 1 being the least, how do you think you would rate yourself?
Scratches head...I'm slightly confused about this...I guess I must be about a four (Catholics get a bit of a bum rap as far as I can tell..., I'm a bit weird looking and I don't date).
2. You’re having a problem with a product or service and you call customer service. You are finally connected with someone who has a thick accent that sounds difficult to understand. What is the first thing that goes through your mind?
"Ah crap, Indian call centre!" Also, how am I gonna get my problem solved.
3. A co-worker you like tells you that his or her church is holding an “open house” and is encouraging people of other faiths to visit. You and your co-worker are of different faiths. How likely would you be to attend?
Umm...hmm...probably wouldn't go because I'm a lazy person more than anything else. Sounds interesting though so maybe I would go.
4. Take the quiz: Are you prejudiced?
That first question a bit hard, I don't assume people with thick accents are dumb or incompetent I just assume that's it's gonna be damn hard to understand what they're saying.
5. You lose a big promotion to someone who you considered to be less qualified than you are, despite the fact that you are only going by instinct in making that determination. If your boss later pulls you aside and explains that because of a growing effort to promote diversity, the other person was selected over you. What would your first reaction likely be?
"What a rip off!" Although that's assuming that they really are less qualified, I wouldn't say that aloud because well maybe they are just qualified and I'm being unfair to them.
6. Your car breaks down in a neighborhood in which everyone is of a different race than you: are you more likely to be uncomfortable?
Nah...unless they're all really creepy looking, but that would have more to do with them wearing trenchcoats and having really unkempt hair than race.
Situation Sunday
Situation #1
You are out rock climbing with friends and half way to the top you notice a pack of wolves. So you all decide to go back down and make a run for the truck. On the way down you notice a grizzly bear, it is huge....What do you do? { No cell phones}
Well, fuck. I'm looking pretty screwed...I'd be hoping that at least somebody brought their mobile so we could call the Park Rangers to save us! Or hope we could hold on until either the bear or the wolf leaves.
Situation #2
You and your husband/wife or significant other are out locally shopping. A car goes by, that happens to be having something hanging on the bottom of it. You want to go tell them, but you hear from your partner "They know about it, leave them alone." Do you go tell them any-way or just shrug it off as "Ya you're probably right..." What do you do?
How am I gonna catch them? They're in a car! I'd have to leap into my car and follow them...which would probably scare that shit out of them...On the other hand, if it was something like an exhaust pipe I don't like to thik what could go down there.
Situation #3
You are out walking/jogging or riding your bike. And you come across a bag with a very large sum of money in it...$50,000. No one is around....What do you do?..............
Yikes, I'm taking that straight to the cops, it could be drug money or something, and even if it's not someone might really need that money.
Now that you have done what you decided to, a month later in the paper is a article about this handicapped person that was robbed of $50,000, are you happy with the decision you made earlier
Indeed I am! I did find $1000 in the street once and I turned it into the police and when no-one claimed it I got the money back. Dunno if you'd get it back if it was drug money though. But whatever.
Unconcious Mutterings
I say ... and you think ... ?

4. Emma :: Woodhouse
5. Swing:: Set
6. Orbit :: Planet
7. Flirt :: Wink

9. Veil :: Wedding
10. Atmosphere :: Earth
Yawn! And that's all I have to say aboout today.
Goodnight to ye all!

You Are Not Prejudiced |
![]() Not only are you color blind, but you're also ethnicity blind, gender blind, and sexual orientation blind. You don't judge someone until you truly know them. And even then, you're probably reluctant to judge. You try to treat everyone equally. Everyone has a fair chance with you. Good job - there's not a prejudiced bone in your body. |
