I overslept!

Yes! Despite going to be at the relatively early hour (for me) of midnight I woke up at 12.24 p.m today! WTF! 10 hours sleep? After getting all that sleep on Saturday night! It doesn't make any sense. Especially since my nose has calmed down a bit, so I assume it was hayfever, so it's not like I'm recovering from something.
Argh! So half the day has been slept away and it's not like a feel incredibly awake and engerised anyway, you know how if you sleep too much sometimes your more tired then if you hadn't slept enough? Well...I've decided I'll definitely have to set my alarm to wake me up tomorrow. I have a week off from Uni and I wish to make some headway on assignments, and my story of course!
In other news it looks like I'll have to live with my copy of Polgara the Sorceress with the mos unfortunate crease because getting the book from America is bloody expensive! At least if I order direct, I suppose I could just ask the local bookshop here to order it in for me, last time I did that I got an odd look. However, if you people could see the Australian cover you'd understand, it's the ugliest cover art ever created I kid you not, Polgara is supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world, on the Aussie (and UK) covers she looks like a man! It's hideous! I'm not even willing to buy it second hand!
Belgarath's cover is all right, but the American version is much nicer and I've always wanted a copy of it, but not at the price it is.
I suppose I could just put them on my To-Buy list when I go to the US, but I'm not sure when that will be, so I'm considering giving my US friend some money and asking her to get them for me and bringing them back.
Then again I'm probably overreacting a bit, I mean it's a noticable crease, but I'm not really so desparate as to fork over like twenty bucks or something just so I can get a nice new book, I don't have the money for that kind of filvorious spending. Although it makes me wonder again why cover art is different in other countries. Take the Harry Potter books, the cover art is TOTALLY different and I'm not too sure why...some sort of market research thing that proved UK kids and US kids like different things or what?
God...my nose is itchy again! This is so annoying! What is that I'm allergic to? I was going to have these allergy tests years ago, but I decided not to because they'd be expensive and my allergies didn't seem to be that bad. Now a days though I keep getting these nose infections, they're not pretty, not to mention the itching, very distracting!
What else...well since I got up so late not much went on today, although I finally found that DVD for Dad! It has a show about the Pope on it and I haven't been able to find it all last week, I searched everywhere and wouldn't you know it? Today I'm looking for something else and hey presto! it shows up! Well, at least I have it now and will send it up the coast with Mother (Mum and Dad have gone up the coast again, but Mum's popped home for two days to work).
And another thing...I'm sure you'll all laugh at me, but until just this minute (when I went to Dictionary.com) I wasn't entire sure what the Hell props meant as in "Props to you guys." I've been seeing it everywhere and I'm like...does it mean thanks or something? It means 'Proper respect' which I assume is a complicated way of saying 'thanks, you're cool.' :OD
Eh....nothing is happening at the moment...I'm just watching Seconds from Disaster again, the Piper Oil Disaster and I'm still wondering if it was really necessary to subtitle the Scottish bloke. I mean it's not THAT hard to understand him...and there was certainly no need to subtitle a New Zealander. I saw that last year, the guy was prefectly comprehensiable, I'd have been peeved if I discovered after a giving an interview that they'd subtitled me for an English-speaking audience! Well...actually, with my voice maybe not...
Yeah well...that's all for now.
