Oh Damn...
Sep. 15th, 2006 07:08 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
6:13pm: My duoeudum's acting up! This is bad because five hours (actually more like four) the after party at my friend's house is on! And I really do want to go :O( I blame myself for eating all that cheese on the way home from work today. Why do I do these things? I'm a nutbag, seriously! I suppose if I don't eat anymore cheese I'll be fine though, although considering we're meant to have pizza tonight (made by Zep's father no less!) this could be a bit of a problem... What can you do I guess? Aside from you know, not eating so much damn cheese! I've got an addiction, LOL.
Sadly though, it doesn't look as if
bookscorpion will be coming after all, I haven't been able to get into contact with her and at this late stage she probably won't want to come becuse it's starts so late! Which reminds me...should I have a nap? I dunno, I've never been very good at napping, but the party doesn't even start 'til about 11:30 and it could go to 3am! I woke up at 7:30 this morning (I think it may have been from the phone...I can't really remember if I woke up before it went off or not) after seven hours sleep and considering how picky my person is about sleep this may not bode well.
Oh my Gosh! I almost forgot! Today is my brother Michael's birthday! He's 24! Which seems rather old to me...I mean I know it isn't, but just think next year he'll be 25 a quarter of a century old! Yipes! This sort of thing is really weird to a person who never planned on growing up like me. Heh, I really should have planned my life more carefully...
FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q1 - Law Enforcement: Generally speaking, do you trust the police? How about the police in your town?
Yeah, they seem to be a trustworthy bunch and one was really understanding when I had that whole embarrassing incident with backing into those cars and then driving off. Although, I ended up having to pay the fine after all that! Oh well, at least they didn't take points off my licence. But yes, as I said, I'd trust the police to help out if I was in trouble or something! Although I have seen them been a little less helpful during a protest march, they don't really give you much time to get out of the way do they?
Q2 - Equestrian: Have you ever ridden a horse? If so, do you remember his or her name? If not, and if you were asked to name someone else's horse, what would name it?
Yes, a couple of times, the first time was on one of the horses a friend of mine from Dubbo, Emma had. I don't remember its name, all I remember is accidentally falling into a wire fence when I was climing onto the said horse. Ouch! I think I rode one of Emma's horses a couple of times. The other time I rode a horse was at Year Six camp, where a hand to get on this HUGE horse! I mean it was MASSIVE! I stood on a milk crate and still need a leg up! I'm afraid of heights and I was terrified I'd fall off and break something. It didn't help that the horse kept putting its head down to eat grass and pulling the reins from my hands. Yikes!
Q3 - Cameras: Do you think it's a good or bad idea to allow cameras in courtrooms?
For a minute I read that as RESTrooms, and I thought "What the fuck? Who does that?" But courtrooms...well, I think it's a good idea to have them to record the legal proceedings, they don't have to be released on TV, but I think having a record like that would be helpful in case there's an appeal or something. After all, people might not remember things right and a video will show an impartial account of what went down. But like I said it doesn't need to be televised to the public like some reality show.
Q4 - Break-ins: Has your car or home ever been broken into? If so, what was stolen and was any of it ever recovered?
Oh yes, the pain! The pain! My beloved comics! Over $200 and three years worth of collecting down the toilet! And they just don't seem to have those big Comic Conventions in Sydney anymore. Sucks! They also stole a jacket of mine with some anti-Bush sentiments on it, but probably because they were cold rather than agreeing the whole thing.

3. I used to make up stories in my head that continued almost constantly! I could remember my dreams so the story could go on for 24 hours a day!
4. I have ADHD

9. I first saw Back to the Future when I was 13, I was bored one day, found it among the videos and figured what the Hell ;O)
10. My first obsession was Inspector Gadget.
Friday's Feast
Appetizer
What was the very last song you listened to?
Uhhh... Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad by whoever sung that. I listened to the radio at work.
Soup
What is one company/store/corporation you would recommend that people stay away from?
The Newsagency I used to work at in Chatswood, it's moved to the otherside of the pederistrain mall, but it's still there, it's called Clearey's and the boss is a total dick! He had a girl who just had major surgery come in! And he didn't even bother to fire me properly! What an ass. Well, at least he paid me.
Salad
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy having your picture made?
You mean taken? Either way I'd say 10, I actually really like photos, but the problem is most of the time I never look good in photos. It figures that people who hate having their photos taken always come out looking good. Hmpf, Lame!
Main Course
Besides a bookmark, what is something you've used to keep your place in a book?
Bus ticket, shopping reciept and just recently a price tag from a bra...LOL, I'm glad I replaced that one!
Dessert
Name a food that you like that most people don't.
Uhh...I dunno, I'm very conservative when it comes to eating, I don't like spices and stuff like that, so it would probably be easier to ask me what food I hate that most people like. I really love water though! Most people don't seem to like water that much...but I sure do! :O)
Friday5
Water (Hey! Coinkydink!)
1. Do you drink enough water?
I believe so, in fact I may drink too much water, since I have to pee a lot...
2. Where’s the nearest swimmable body of water?
Well there's a pool near Sydney Uni which is just down the road, but you have to pay to get in. A free body of water, I guess would be Bondi Beach.
3. When did you learn to swim?
I must have been 6 or 7...it was really hard because to get the certificate you had swim freestyle for 25 metres, and while I could do breaststroke and backstroke I couldn't do freestyle worth a damn. I somehow managed to do it though, so I have the certificate in my folder, yay!
4. How do you feel about rain?
Rain's cool! Well, it's cool when it falls on the farmers and the dams and where it's needed. Last week's rain got pretty damn annoying because it wasn't doing any good and it was so heavy that even with an umbrella the lower area of my jeans was soaked!
5. What are your thoughts on bottled water?
I'm not quite sure why they don't put fluroide in there. Apparently to do it here in Australia they have to get special permission, I have no idea why, since it's good for your teeth. But bottle water is important in countries like Bali and stuff. Believe me, you don't want to get Bali belly...that was terrible for all concerned.
T.G.I.F!
Red Hot
1. What's your favorite spicy food?
Ah I can't believe you'd ask that! I can't even eat pepper or chives! So...we're talking no spicey food. I don't like any of them.
2. When was the last time you were in hot water?
Aaah, dunno...I did almost burn myself because someone left the tap in the bathroom at work on the hot setting! Ouch! But figurative hot water, I suppose at the start of this week when I thought I would have to move out of the apartment and I needed to clean it, but there was no way I could possible do it in time! Phew, I dodged a bullet with that one.
3. Who makes you sweat?
Ah, no-one. Running up and downstairs makes me sweat because I have such tight leg muscles it really takes a lot to get up and down them, oww!
4. How do you fan the flames of love?
N/A
5. How do keep yourself warm on a cold night?
Put on a jumper, wrap my doona around me and put on a heater if I can get it. Fortunately, this apartment doesn't get cold, in fact it has the opposite problem. But that's good because I have poor circulation and this past winter I've actually put gloves in inside the house! They didn't really work.
The (Other) Friday Five
1. What's your favorite line from a movie, and why?
Hmmm...that's a hard one...I must say, I really love Doc's line "If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles an hour...you're gonna see some serious shit."
2. Who's your favorite villain from a movie, and why?
I don't really like villains, but I guess Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, he's such a moron.
3. Name one movie everyone else loves that you hate.
The Matrix, God damn stupid piece of shit! Everyone seems to think the first movie was good, I thought it was the biggest waste of seven dollars ever!
4. Name one movie everyone else hates that you love.
Grease, well actually, that's probably really in my group of friends, but I love that movie while they absolutely hate it! Dunno why, it's not that bad!
5. What's your favorite Pixar film, and why?
The Incredibles! I wasn't sure what it was going to be like when I went, but it was such a great story, with great characters that I loved it! :O) Ah, good stuff, I've got to watch that film again.
Well, it's seven now and the stomach is a little calmer, I'm still not sure what to do about eating tonight...I suppose I should just take some Buscopan (since Immodium freaks me out!) which will probably calm it right down. Argh! I hate you stomach! Why do you do this on important nighs! Don't ruin this for me!
Oh well, that's all I have to say for now, I'm off to play Temptation. Goodnight!
Sadly though, it doesn't look as if
