Oh Alllllbeeert! :O(

I suddenly realised I've missed twenty minutes of my show (which I think goes for an hour) on Queen Victoria and Albert! Albert's my favourite monarch! I even have my own Albert File.
Bummer, I want to hear more about the Albert factor and the reasearch that's been doing on it...I can only hope they'll be a little thing after it about how it's now avaliable at your local ABC Shop. I hope so, I got the first bit, though as I mentioned the actors who played Victoria and Albert weren't a patch on Victoria Hamilton and Jonathan Firth (Colin Firth's younger brother!:O) who played the roles in the mini-series.
But isn't it interesting that their's evidence that Queen Vic thought her servant John Brown (who she apparently had an affair with) was possessed by Albert's spirit!
Damn me, for some reason I had it in my head that it was on Sunday...hmmm, I wonder if anyone else taped it, probably not.
Sigh...

The real Albert! Love his 'mo!

The Real Victoria, by her own omission she wasn't good-looking, but I think she's pretty, besides she had nine kids!

Here's a lovely picture of Albert and Victoria on the mini-series.
21.45pm Hey, Hornblower! Including Archie (aka Jamie Bamber) another one of my favourites!
Hey question of the episode: How the Hell did Captain Pellew get out on the rowboat without getting wet?
Oh my God I love it when Capt Pellew says 'U-nee-form'! Go Robert Lindsay, go! :OD
Geeze, took me an age to finish this entry.
P.P.S Crazy website you have to visit http://www.dancingbush.com/ ;O)

Ever been to Osbourne house?
Date: 2004-10-30 07:25 am (UTC)I've been to Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight, although some of it is closed to the public because people still live there I think. I've got a brochure somewhere I bought a few years ago telling you about the rooms. There's also a smaller house that the children used to play in - kinda like a large version of a dolls' house. It's really cute!
Re: Ever been to Osbourne house?
Date: 2004-10-30 05:58 pm (UTC)Hmmm, I've been to England, but I don't think our family went to Osbourne House, we got to go inside Buckingham Palace though :O)
I've never heard about the Large Doll House for the kids to play in, that is cute! I seem to rememeber that Queen Victoria had a very elaborate dollhouse of her own when she was a kid- we saw it a Museum over there and that was one cool dollhouse! It had more expensive furniture than our house! ;O)
But I'll keep Osbourne House on my list of things to visit to see when I someday go overseas again.
