Oct. 5th, 2015 11:22 pm11:07pm: Right so, after spending ages with the handstitching the netting to the yoke I realised that yes I could in fact sew it on with the machine. Pft, well I feel like rather silly, although I did discover whilst doing that I might have gathered it in a bit too much at the start because I ended up not being able to gather it at all by the end, so now it's sort of lopsided. Bah, I guess I'll have to look into that later, but I swear no-one has ever unpicked more thread than me!
In other exciting news, I won! I won Canasta against M today! And it was quite the victory because at the beginning she was beating me by a huge margin, it seemed to me that only a miracle could prevent me from a very embarrassing loss. But indeed a miracle occurred! Woo-hoo! The last hand was very exciting and a bit nerve-wracking for me, because I was sure M would go out at any time! But nope! :O) Yaaaay!
Also, Grandpa barbequed up a very delicious lunch so that was very much welcomed. :O) There was even tiramasu and ice cream for dessert, although I'm not the biggest fan of tiramasu because of the coffee factor, but it was still pretty good.
While I was there, the mobile dent repairer man SMSed me, he's coming over tomorrow to see about fixing the car, I still wonder how he's going to spray it with no workshop to go to. Won't the paint spray go all over the road? Ah well, I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
The weather continued to be very hot, over 30 degrees again today! I broke out the shorts today, it's nice to seem them again! Although...in the realm of grossness, I managed to sneeze on them while driving to work this morning. Suffice to say I had to clean them off with a sponge. Damn hayfever.
I've just realised...I forgot to bring my clothes in from the line...I hope it doesn't rain out there, it's not supposed to until tomorrow night. But if my clothes get wet after all this hot weather I'm going to feel really stupid. But it's too late to go out and get it now, I should be in bed!
I did however, remember to making the frosting for the cupcakes, so I'll be able to take them tomorrow - but while I got my piping bag and stuff that Mum left behind at Ms, I have no idea where my cupcake carrier is. I didn't see it at M and Grandpa's but then I forgot to really look. Ah well, I don't have that many cupcakes anyway so using the whole holder would be a bit over the top.
On that note I must be off! Like I said bed calls and I have to finish washing my cutlery, which I left to soak in the sink.
