The Heat Is On...
Oct. 4th, 2015 11:36 pm10:49pm: For sure! First day of daylight savings and it was a ridiculous 35 degrees today, just as the weatherpeople predicted! (Man, they are getting better at that...) So I decided what the Hell and wore sandals with a sundress for my shift at the library today. I have seen other employees wearing sandals actually...and high heels, which to be honest I would have thought would be too much of an OHS issue to let pass even if one does look more professional in them then in sneakers.
LOL, I'm watching Embarrassing Bodies and the specialist one of the patients were sent to is called Dr Yell, seriously I wonder how many times people have had a chuckle at that.
Anyway, there's not much to report today, except I didn't end up going swimming after my shift, which was a shame...although thinking about it, I wonder if it would have being as pleasant as I think because the pool is heated. I'm sure they turn it down during the summer, but it might not have been turned down yet. This happened at the library today actually, with the main lights not coming on until half an hour after we opened!
And that's pretty much all I have to say - hot weather makes one's brain go...something...something.
Oh! I am still working on the petticoat, I have to hand sew the netting onto the yoke because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to manage it with the sewing machine.
Anyway, I best do the memes and get ready to head off to bed, I am starting work an hour later than usual tomorrow but I don't want to get into bad habits!

1. What would you pick as a major, if you could go back to college and do it again? Probably library studies...why the Hell didn't I do that in the first place? That was actually a really dumb decision now I think on it...I mean the creative writing degree was really fun, but er...it had no professional use whatsoever.
2. Who is the one celebrity with whom you would most like to have an indepth conversation? Does Plushy count as a celebrity? Although I might be too shy to say anything to him! I'd kind of like to talk to Ellen or something.
3. If you could make a living doing ANYthing, what would that be? Writing...which means I gotta get back in the habit of it, because I've been neglecting it and I feel bad now.
4. What’s your all-time very favorite dessert? Chocolate mousse! Just put it in my mouth!
5. How many pairs of jeans do you own? I think I have four...on pair is too big and one is a bit too small, so it's really just two. Three if I'm willing to go around with an unbuttoned top button LOL.
6. What is your favorite flower, and why? I do love red roses, they're so classy!
7. What book has most changed your life? Well, the Adrian Mole series inspired me to start writing the stories I made up in my head down, so I'll say that.
8. What is your least favorite vegetable? Is there any way you can be persuaded to eat it? Hmmm, I'm not entirely sure...I used to really hate spinach, but the last few times I've had it it hasn't been too bad.
9. If you could take a nonstop first class flight to any destination, where would you pick to land? I'd go to New York, baby!
10. If your 15 minutes of fame included a stint on American Idol, what song would be your trademark solo? Uh...it wouldn't matter because I can't sing for shit. This would be a terrible, terrible idea.
11. If you could pick one former friend (who has remained elusive in this wild Facebook world) to reunite with, who would you unearth? My first best friend, Natalie, I did see her again in Sydney once many years ago, but no luck findin her on Facebook.
12. You have been awarded the time off from work and an all-expenses paid week anywhere in the United States. The catch is that it must be somewhere you have not been before. Where do you choose to visit? New York, baby, whoo!
13. Name three of your guilty pleasures. Watching too much TV, eating chocolate and sitting on my ass in general, LOL.
14. The best kind of cookie is: a Tim-Tam, if you don't have them in your country you're missing out!
15. What do you value most in other people? Kindness.
16. Have you ever looked back at your life and realized that something you thought was a bad thing was actually a blessing in disguise? Uh...hmm...no not really, although thankfully I haven't had too many bad things happen!
17. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever visited? Bali was very beautiful, even if it did rain a lot while we were there!
18. Are you more of a thinker or a feeler? A feeler, I guess?
