10:41pm: The timesheet feature on the Job Seeker app I have on my phone. I hadn't really noticed it before despite the fact I've been using the app for over half a year now, but yeah, basically I can enter in the hours I do and rate of pay after every shift I do and when the time to report comes I can just import all the info over, handy.

And as it turns out, I have to go in early again tomorrow because wouldn't you know? The nurse who was supposed to come said she couldn't come in at the last minute. Apparently they were sick, but Mrs. S thinks she saw her car show up in the parking lot. Apparently this nurse has a bit of a rep for being flighty. Well, she better come in tomorrow that's all I can say. :OP

While I was waiting for the bus to get me home after going to the gym and swimming I got an SMS from C in the main house, apparently I now have a gate at the bottom of the steps that lead up to my flat. I found out from N that apparently this is because they're looking after some dogs and that's to keep them from coming up here. I just hope I remember it's there otherwise I may well run into it when I hurry down the stairs tomorrow.

I also saw what was either a rat or a possusm running out from under the deck this morning, bit of a shock that...I kind of hope it's the latter because at least they're native to Australia I don't want a rat around here.

And...I might have something else to say, but I've forgotten it so I better continue with my catching up on the Memes!

:Freeway of Love (1985):

1) In this song, Aretha's ideal car is a pink Caddy. What's your dream vehicle? Well, I used to always want a red jeep...or even better a red Ferrari! Of course the cost and fuel efficiency or lack there of but those idea to bed. Recently I fell in love with a green convertible Citroen, but alas seeing as I have no money it was not to be. Generally speaking I'd like a green car (both in colour and environmentally speaking) if I ever get one.

2) Have you ever owned a convertible? Nope, although that green Citroen was one. I've ridden in a convertible in Bali with Mum and my friend, we sat on the back with no regards to safety LOL. Also some dude on a motorcycle tried to grope my butt, WTF?

3) Aretha longs to "drop the pedal and go." Are you a careful, conservative driver? Or do you enjoy going fast? I'd say a careful conservative driver, trucks and other slow vehicles often drive past me.

4) Aretha's grandmother Rachel helped raise her. Tell us about one of your grandparents My maternal grandfather was in the Navy and began as a thirteen years old. He attempted to learn how to fly planes and actually has footage of him doing so, but apparently he wasn't good enough or missed out somehow and ended up as a hydrographer. This meant he had all sorts of adventures especially when he got his own yacht. He was even feared missing for a week or so when he couldn't contact the mainland, showed up in the newspaper and everything. He also got to retire at 55, good for him!

5) Aretha played a waitress in the 1980 movie, The Blues Brothers. Have you ever worked in food service? Yes, in McDonalds for about two seconds, it suuucked, didn't even give me proper training so when I had to make my first soft serve it rather badly, because I couldn't turn the machine off at first!

6) Aretha was a chain smoker for decades and had a terrible time giving up cigarettes. What habit do you wish you could break? Uh...I dunno...sticking my tongue out when I'm nervous, rather awkward.

7) A sculpture of Aretha is at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York City. What's the last museum you visited? Man, it's been quite a while...might have even been Questacon in Canberra seven years ago, shit I fail man.

8) Since Aretha has many honorary degrees, it would be appropriate to refer to her as Dr. Franklin. Who is the last person you addressed by his or her title (Officer, Father, Pastor, Dr., etc.)? Uh...I guess the priest at church a couple of weeks back.

9) The daughter of a minister, Aretha enjoys singing "church music" and her 1972 CD Amazing Grace is one of the best sellers in gospel music history. Do you have any gospel music on your phone, iPod or MP3 player? Nope.

:Stop! In the Name of Love (1965):

1) When this song was popular, the Supremes were known for their long gloves and full-length gowns. When was the last time you got dressed up? Uh...gee, would probably have been a couple of years ago when I dressed up as Pinkie Pie, an outfit that included a pink silk skirt and pink elbow length gloves!

2) With a record 12 #1 hits, the Supremes remain America's best-selling vocal group. This must have been hard for Betty McGlown, the fourth Supreme, who left the group before they recorded their first song. Can you think of an opportunity you missed? Damn, you'd be kicking yourself wouldn't you? Kinda like the fifth Beatle! Anyway, an opportunity I missed? Going for the full-time role at the ABC Tape Centre, I coulda been a contender, because the full-time person got kept on and I got let go. D:

3) When "the girls" (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Flo Ballard) first started hanging around Motown, founder Berry Gordy was reluctant to let them record. After all, they were still in high school. They refused to give up and eventually convinced him to let them add hand claps and finally back up vocals to recordings by other Motown artists. Tell us about a time when your persistence paid off. Alas, I'm not very persistent...I guess the other day while skating I managed to glide a bit on one leg, that's petty good!

4) 50 years after its release, "Stop! In the Name of Love" is one of the most popular karaoke songs. Do you know the lyrics? Well...the first few lines. "Talk it o-o-over..."

5) There's a children's playground named in Diana Ross' honor within New York's Central Park. It includes swings, slides, rope bridges and a fountain. When you played in the park, what did you run to first? I'd probably take the slide, wheeee!

6) Diana stumbled in her high heels and broke her ankle as she left the stage after a November 2012 concert. What do you have on your feet right now? Nothing and ouch! Poor Diana, how old was she though, I couldn't imagine wearing high heels at age 70 or whatever.

7) Ever the trooper, she honored her commitment to perform at a White House-sponsored Christmas concert just weeks later, even though her leg was still in a cast. Tell us about a time when you "played hurt." Uh...I'm a wuss so I kinda got nothin'

8) Young Diana Ross was a good student and a tough competitor who made her school's swim team. Are you a good swimmer? Ha ha ha, no. I once finished last in a race at a swimming carnival like two minutes behind everyone and swimming under a couple of lane ropes because I didn't have goggles and couldn't see shit.

9) Diana's older sister, Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, was the first African American woman to be appointed dean of an American medical school. Decades ago, Barbara juggled post-graduate studies and raising small children. Are you good at multi-tasking? No sir.

Righto, better wrap this up and head to bed.

Goodnight all!
