You're All Winners!
Feb. 12th, 2015 11:39 pm11:13pm: Yes! It was the Trivia Night that my grandparents invited us to, tonight and as you may guess from the subject title, our table - which included my grandparents, Mum, little bro, C from the main house down here and a man and woman who I don't think are a couple but I'm not too sure - won! :OD So exciting! Maybe I should start going to trivia nights, I do enjoy such things...although the bar scene is not really my bag. An interesting thought none the less maybe I should check it out.
We also got to hear about the troubles plastic is causing the ocean, all those plastic bags, bottle and other crap is getting into the food chain and doing God knows what to our health to say nothing of the poor animals who get caught in six pack rings or swallow plastic bags. So yeah, down with plastic, man.
In other news, when I got home I discovered to my dismay the buckle nice green wristwatch I bought at Aldi decided to fall off! I tried to reattach it, but all I managed to do is make my thumb sore. I'm not sure what to do now, I mean obviously I can return the watch, but I don't think there'll be any left to get a replacement. On the other hand, getting it fixed seems like a poor financial decision seeing as it only cost four bucks. I suppose you get what you pay for, but I am worried that my thumb will still be sore tomorrow...it better not be, because it's back to work!
Today was also my first meeting with Job Centre person, it went pretty well I think, and if I have any problems with my current job I can probably get advice from then instead of having to go to my mother all the time. Which is probably a plan since Mum and Dad are going away for three months from mid-March to mid-June.
After that I went to do my volunteering at the library, where I imparted my sad news about not getting an interview - the Job Centre man said there wasn't anything that could be done at this point, but there is a woman on the staff there who used to work at a library as my contact, which is neat maybe she can give me good advice.
On that note I better be off, I want to get enough sleep for work tomorrow after all.
Goodnight all!
