Oh Shiiiiit

10:56pm: I finally got around to opening the parcel I got a number of days ago which contain two more books for my Agatha Christie books. The parcel was plastic and the books and magazines were in their own plastic bags too, so I thought they'd be safe, but eeeeek! One of the magazines was totally saturated! Shiiiit! The books seem fine, thank God, but my poor magazine...I wonder if it'll dry properly or I'll just be screwed there. God damnit, thanks for not knocking on the door Mr. Postman, rude! Although it's also my fault since it took me five days to open the parcel to check it. Fail.

In other news, I have to go over to Newtown tomorrow to check the mailbox, my big brother is expecting his new credit card in the mail. Thing is, I'm not sure when I should go, on the one hand the cleaner is coming tomorrow so I should be out of the house for a few hours so I'm not underfoot. On the other tomorrow is Writer's Group, so if I go later in the day I could go to that...although, I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. Hmmm, I should get to asking about setting up a group on this side of the Bridge, or failing that maybe I can just make my own group, get of the house and do some writing, I'm certainly slacking on that.

I'm also slacking on the job front! Although I was reminded that I need to find a third reference for two of the jobs I want to apply too, I'm thinking of a priest since it's a Christian school, but I have to check with Mum (she works in the Parish) to see if that's OK. Note to self: Do that tomorrow!

In figure skating news (which is relevant to my interests), I was pleased to read online today that Plushy's back surgery went well, yaaay. So well, apparently that he's going to be able to start rehabilitation in 24 hours! Man spinal surgery sure is more sophisticated these days...my father had to have something done a couple of years ago and I'm sure he was lying down for at least a week afterwards. Still it really helped him out a lot with back pain. Although sadly, he needs to go in for another operation in the upper spinal area because something weird's going on up there now. Poor Dad.

In other news...not much, although I didn't end up making pancakes, because Mum invited me to have lunch with her at her workplace and there was already pancakes there. Also the buttermilk had hardly defrosted at all...rude. So yeah, I still got my fill of pancakes - well piklets really - today. :O)

Aaaand due to a lack of anything else to report - and the fact I need to make sure I've tidied up the surfaces down here so the cleaner can clean them I better sign off now.
