Time Flies! Again!
Aug. 7th, 2013 10:45 pm10:26pm: Both now with it been bed time and this morning when I got distracted and almost ended up been late for work! I was late in fact, but not so late that I had to call. A lucky break indeed!
Part of it was Mum's fault though, she had to critique the outfit I planned to wear today and I suppose she had a point somewhat, because the skirt I have is too big now so she had to take it in and she said my new jumper didn't go with my shirt (which when she pointed it out I realised it didn't), so she took my skirt and took it in a bit, but it still didn't look right, especially with the shoes I picked (I didn't want to wear super high heels because I'm still doing the files) and my black stockings ended up with runs in them... Fortunately for me I'd left a spare pair of black pants so I ended up putting those on instead.
However, there's one thing that I shouldn't have taken Mum's advice on, not to take my coat (since it was meant to be warm today) and instead just take my newly dry cleaned jacket. Suffice to say I was freezing! OK, maybe not freezing, but definitely cold. Mum rang me to see if I'd got on the bus all right and offered to bring my coat (and some of the stuff I forgot to bring along) to work with her so I could pick it up on my way home. At first I wasn't going to because the Writer's Group was on tonight, but it was cold enough that I decided that I better. It was a good idea especially since it rained this evening, but it certainly made me late for the Writer's Group! Still, I managed to get a good bit of writing in, so that was good.
Anyway, I managed to have enough time to buy a crossiant from a shop in the Mall on the way to work so at least I had breakfast, plus I had some leftover lasagne for lunch, yum.
Although, once again the new files are stacking up again! One of my coworkers even started making up some, so after getting to the S's I started making some too. Hmpf, I didn't even get halfway through the pile! Ah well.
But there is good news, though, the receptionist is going away in October, so I'll be able to fill in at the news agency in September, good oh! I called up the boss to tell him and ask about the super, fortunately he didn't get snippy, but he seems to think I'm not working enough to qualify for it. At least, not now, but back in the beginning I worked three or four days! So he's going to look into that and check with his accountant. I sure hope we can sort it all out.
Now, I better head off, as I said, it's bedtime!
