Burst My Fandom Bubble Why Don't You?
Aug. 18th, 2010 10:55 pm10:32pm: There's this show on every afternoon called It's Academic which is basically Sale of the Century for kids, and I enjoy watching it. And alas, today my friends, a golden Fandom bubble was punctured! One of the rounds on the show is a 'true and false' one where there's three different topics to choose from.
And today one of them was Back to the Future Part I.
And those punk kids didn't go for it! You bastard kids...Instead we got stuck with wierd foods or some shit like that. Shame, shame.
Although I suppose for the kids on there BTTF is movie that came out 10 years before they were born...I is old. :O(
In other news, I didn't work on the assignment today, instead I tried to pass the typing test so I could work in that election job, but alas I'm not fast enough with the numeric and couldn't do it! Dang.
I've put my name forward as a polling assistant, but I'm a bit worried if I get it if only because I might not be able to finish that dumb assignment. Sigh...
Oh well, at least I'll be able to go to the Sydney Uni library on the weekend, if I can't find sources there I'm definitely doing it wrong.
Anywho tomorrow is libray day so I better Meme and run:

1. “Basically, my life is so boring, it's embarrassing.” How boring do you think your life is?
Umm...to the outsider, real boring, however, I enjoy surfing the net and making up stories in my head, so it's not that bad for me. I really need to get a job.
2. “But I just know from experience that accent wise, even if you're an accent genius, crossing the Atlantic is the hardest thing in the world either way.” Can you do any accents? If not, do you know someone who is good at it?
Aside from maybe Fran Descher since we both have highpitched voices I should say no.
And I can't say I do...except you know people on TV. Go James Marsters!
3. “For any new technology there is always controversy and there always some fear associated with it.” What technology did you at first fear that you now could not live without?
Can't think of any.
4. “I cling to the fantasy that I could have done something more creative. Like actually writing a script, or writing a book. But the awful truth is that I... probably can't!” Do you, or have you ever, thought you have a book in you?
I do! Although whether they're any good is a question for us all. ;O)
5. “I had Courtney Love's left bosom out of her dress on my plate in front of me. It was extraordinary. I didn't know where to look.” Have you ever been in a similar type of situation?
Hell no...yikes...well actually, at the Year Six End of Year celebration thing some dickhead pulled my swimsuit down, fortunately I was facing away from the shore at the time, but yeah, that was seriously humilating.
6. “The moral of filmmaking in Britain is that you will be screwed by the weather.” How does the weather effect where you live?
Well, I wouldn't want to live in a cold climate! But it's generally very nice in Sydney, so I can get by.
7. “When I think about actors I know, I'd much rather hear about who they're shagging than what film they're doing next.” How about you? Are you more interested in you favorite artist’s next work, or the TMZ side of it all?
Their next work, because the other thing is well I was going to say you can't watch that, but with some of them you probably can - but yeah. I can safely say I want to know what they'll be acting in next!
8. “Women are frightening. If you get to 41 as a man, you're quite battle-scarred.” Have you ever felt “battled-scarred” by a relationship or relationships in general? If yes, do tell.

9. “You know everyone loves to be the villain.” Do you tend to root for the bad guy?
Not usually actually! Captain John is the exception.
10. “I think that's the whole point of Bridget Jones. It's all about that it's okay to fail.” What have you failed at and learned a lot from?
Getting a job! But what have I learned? Well, I'm much better at interviews now! I'll get there eventually!
