The Waaaaiting is the Hardest Part of All
Sep. 1st, 2006 03:24 pm2:30pm: I could also entitle this entry as: "I'm a Total Loser" because I really manage to fuck up today.
You know how I said yesterday that my interview was probably at 1:30pm based on what I had written on the envelope and that I'd call to make sure? Well, I didn't call and it wasn't at 1:30, it was at 11:30...They called me up at 11:50 to ask me where I was. Well, fuck me, I screwed that up good! They told me to come right in and told me not to worry about been late, but dudes, we all know what this means. How could I possibly make a good impression after that?
And why the Hell do all the jobs I'm going for require second interviews...this sucks! I have a hard enough time all ready without as second one too! They said they'll call up this afternoon to tell me whether I'm going to be called back, but I don't rate my chances frankly. Damn.
And to top it all off I missed the Windsor Castle episode of Crown & Country George III was all about Windsor Castle so I meant to tape it at 11am, but I forgot, then I was in such a hurry to get to the interview I didn't set the tape. So, damn you all!
In less depressing news, I've been becoming equated with Ebay, which is good because unlike Amazon, Ebay has a base in Australia, with Australian sellers selling Aussie dollars and Aussie postage. I'm hoping to get some books through it, the only problem with Ebay is you have to wait for a while before the auction ends unless it's one of those "Buy it Now" ones, which I rather like. I just been going through them now, but they are a bit more expensive and been the cheapskate that I am, I like to save a buck so I've decided I might as well bid and wait. If it's get too high though I'll just go with the "Buy it Now" people.
3:19pm: Well update! The woman just called, and no dice...Ugh, back to the grindstone. I can't believe I can't get a job, seriously this is getting really embarrassing! What am I going to do? Will I really have to take on a shit job? Come on, God, don't do this to me! I'm a good person!
Sigh! Well, that's all I'm going to say for now, since I want to play The Sims 2 and all, at least I'm having sucess with that, using a tutorial I made a spilt level house, which I'm really impressed with, I'm hoping to be able to figure out how to do stairs with landings, because the only staris in The Sims 2 games are long ones which take up a whole lot of room. What's with that? You think the would have included some L shaped ones, or ones that double back on themselves as most stairs do.
