Shoot for a Sausage
Feb. 7th, 2026 11:45 pm11:17pm: Haha well the first Archery Competition of the year was on today and alas...I sucked. I only had one end where all six arrows were in the scoring zone and whilst I have mentioned previously you're only really competing against yourself in archery, it is slightly embarrassing when my score for an entire round (5 ends of 6 arrows each) is less than one person's score for a single end. Ah well, I got to meet interesting fellow archer's and get a delicious sausage and got a PB so good on me.
However, it was also hot today, not humid which was a relief, but still despite drinking what I thought was enough water I had quite the headache so had to go home to lie down. This rather sucked because one of my archery pals mentioned that she saw a Pusheen handbag at a Salvo's shop near where she lives a couple of suburbs over. I was planning to go get it, but yeah, the headache stopped me, boo.
Also boo-worthy, despite clearing up space on my laptop, Sims 4 is still sluggish :O( I rather stupidly quit without saving and realised that means the work I did putting back up photos (that got blacked-out because of a bug) was for nought, do'h!
Meanwhile at the Olympics, no figure skating (I think?) but there's the ski-athlon, which is an interesting combo of long disatance skiing types - I didn't know there was more than one, but the first one involves skiing around on this track like thing where there's ruts for the skis to ski in. Which begs the question how does one take over someone else when there's tracks? Sadly we didn't see that bit which is a shame. It sure looks like the sort of sport that would kill your legs by the end.
On a final note, I was suppose to send a photo of my kitchen to Mum because alas it was not up to muster when she popped by quickly to drop of the Lite 'n' Easy but I didn't actually clean it up so whoops :OP
There's also the Friday Five, turns out I missed the latest one, whoops, sooo -
The Friday Five

1. What did you want to be when you were a kid? I had no idea! I've often mentioned I had no longterm career plans which was probably not a good idea. The only career I briefly considered was being a vet, then I realised I didn't have the stomach for it so that went by the wayside.
2. What is your proudest accomplishment so far? Ooo, well finally getting the job at the library I suppose, because it took me like 12 years to do so.
3. What is your dream job? Working at the library, which I finally managed to do, so hooray!
4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Oh man I'll be 52, that's scary! I don't really want to think to hard about it to be honest. I'm resistant to change though so I probably will be in the same position. At least, I hope I will be!
5. What does it take to make you happy? Not much! Pusheen, something good on TV, an interesting book to read and some yummy snakcs.
On that note I better go, there's archery tomorrow, which will hopefully go better than today!
Ta-ta!
