10:26pm: I thought I got enough zzzs, but it seems not since I feel like I'm about nod off. I meant to update this earlier, but as usual, I got caught up doing something else - playing The Simpsons Tapped Out and now I'm playing catch up!

In other news, it was bloody hot today and my air conditioner is really not up to task, although N from down in the main house came up to take a look and apparently turning it up super high isn't the right way to use it and it seems he's right. Although it could just be the fact it's now night time and thus a bit cooler outside but it's a lot more pleasant in here. I guess we'll have to see tomorrow...

I was supposed to go to the gym today, but since Mum's friend sang at Church tonight she gave me a lift, I was going to go after Church and she was going to drop me off, but then Mum's friend got caught up talking to someone at Church and then the traffic really sucked so there just wasn't enough time. I'll have to go tomorrow.

Meanwhile, that time o' the month has decided to remain elusive, annoying stuff, but what can you do?

Home Is Where The Hearth Is

1. What is your approach to dealing with (or preventing) clutter? Um...ignore it generally, because I kind of fail, LOL.

2. What kinds of (tangible) things do you seem to have an unreasonable time letting go of? Newspapers and magazines! Don't ask me why. Probably a good thing I no longer work in the library.

3. If you could start completely over with your existing living space (and money were only a slight limitation), how would you make it more suited to you and your lifestyle? Well, I quite like it as is, so...I'd probably just save that money! :OP

4. How many standalone small kitchen appliances do you own, and how many do you use regularly? Um, let's see microwave, toaster and the oven/stove thing. And I use at least one of them most days. Oh, and I suppose you can count the water cooler, which I use the most!

5. What does your current living space really need more of? Cleaning up! I keep saying I'll do it, but I get distracted...

Saturday 9

:Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart (1939):

1) This song is about love at first sight. Do you believe that immediate attraction lasts? I hope so! But it's certainly never happened to me.

2) The lyrics mention "a breath of spring" and robins singing. Now that we're deep into winter, what do you miss about spring? We're in mid-summer here in Australia, so...I don't really miss much about spring...the weather is always weird.

3) Though the world knew her as Judy Garland, this week's featured artist was born Frances Gumm and her family called her "Baby." Does your family have any pet names for you? They do! I'm the Moose or Moose-like, sometimes Mon. But Frances Gumm? No wonder she changed her name!

4) Because she was petite -- just 4'11 -- it was obvious when Garland gained even a few pounds and consequently she battled her weight her whole life. Now that we're in the new year, have you made any resolutions about your own diet? Well, I've had to give up the Nutella again, I just can't be conservative if I have a jar of that stuff in the house.

5) The year this song came out, 1939, was the year Garland's most famous movie, The Wizard of Oz, was released. Which of her three traveling companions is your favorite: Scarecrow, Tin Man or Cowardly Lion? Hmmm, I've never really thought about it...I quite like the Scarecrow though.

6) Barry Manilow enjoyed Judy's performance of this song so much he did a "dream duet" with her and included it in his recent CD. What performer who is no longer with us do you wish you could have seen in concert? The Bee-Gees! Well, Barry's still with us, Robin and Maurice are not. Sad.

7) Judy had a terrible problem with tardiness. Are you usually prompt? Pft, no. Although! I have gotten better recently.

8) During World War II, Judy worked tirelessly to entertain the troops. Tell us about a cause that's near and dear to your heart. Well, I don't have much money, but I do donate $10 a month to Amnesty International, Human Rights is something we need to uphold all over the world.

9) The American Film Institute lists Garland as the 8th greatest movie star of all time. Who is your all time favorite actor or actress? Colin Firth! :OD Oh, who doesn't love Colin Firth! (Don't answer that. :OP)

And finally to catch up on the Sunday Meme
