Getting Out, Getting Stuff Done!

11:02pm: Yes sir! Today was Volunteer Day, although as it turned out the Home Library Organiser person hadn't realised when I mentioned Wednesday last week that I was, in fact, coming on Wednesday, so she was surprised to see me. Also, she had a midday meeting again, so it was a short shift for me again. Whoops... Still I had enough time to do selections for one lady who wanted ten books, two DVDs and a magazine! She requested Large Print too, so that made things a bit more involved, but fortunately there's quite a nice selection of Large Print at the library. And I'm pleased to say even though she's been a member for a while, I only got one book that she'd all ready read. I hope she likes them, but once again I won't know for some weeks.
Anywho, I'm supposed to be going back on Thursday, however, I'm not sure if that'll happen because on my way home from dropping off resumes I got a call! I have an interview next Thursday in the city at two, for a medical records job. That sounds really interesting, so I'm looking forward to that! But yeah, I'm supposed to go to the library at 11 and am meant to stay for four hours or so, which I won't be able to do. I shall have to call tomorrow and rearrange the time.
The resume handing out went all right too or at least at one place - a newsagency/post office in Collaroy, I practically had an interview on the spot. The lady I spoke to said she'd get back to me, so hey, that's two balls in the air. :O) As for Michele's Patesserie, I'm thinking that probably won't happen because I have no barrista experience.
All this reminded me of the TAFE course thing - especially when I realised my resumes has that Aged Care course listed on it in my Education section. I did some research when I got home and I got excited to see Health Administration as a course option, but its only available at a TAFE in some suburb I've never heard of. Do'h. I checked out the TAFEs in this general area, but yeah, not much choice there, unless I want to learn automobile repair or something. I'll have to investigate further tomorrow.
Also, I've just remembered I need to put those sliding glass doors up for sale, so I better go do that before I head off to bed. Also, I need to do more in terms of the RP I'm in, I'm totally slacking on it, man.
So! On that note, I shall be off.
Goodnight all!
