Nightmare Moon's Reign Is Over!

q11:03pm: Yes siree indeed! I finally activated the Magic Harmony stone and defeated Nightmare Moon and now I have Princess Luna wandering around along with the others! As Fluttershy would say "Yay!" Although it's gonna be quite a while before I get rid of all those magic parasprites, they've taken over practically half my Ponyville! Rude!
But yeah that was fun. :O)
In other news, I went to church on this side of the Bridge, at the St Joseph's where the Parish priest just so happens to be a priest who did his training at my parents' St Joseph's! What are the chances? I can't say I don't actually know, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention that M has been in surgery this week to fix her foot, I'm not entirely sure how it's gone, but since Mum, Uncle Sam, Aunt seed and Grandpa have all been visiting her she seems to be in a good enough mood. I should see about visiting her, maybe on Tuesday? Although I'm not actually sure if I'm supposed to be working on Tuesday at the office or not. Friday is a public holiday and there's still all those tax forms to fill out, I should probably call on Monday just to see.
So, today was a good day in all, although the Blue screen again appeared D: I guess the Nvidia website was right and my video card isn't quite up to the task. I have to stick to playing for half an hour now before the card gets way too hot and I'm wondering if I should see about upgrading my graphics card, because well, it is cheaper than buying a whole new laptop, plus I can keep Windows XP. Also they don't seem to make Dells with green tops anymore, rude! I shall have investigate further I guess.
Saturday 9
:In the Wee Small Hours:
1) Crazy Sam's mom and dad still talk about how exciting it was to see Sinatra in Vegas! What music did/do your parents enjoy? The same music I enjoy! The oldies but goodies, Beach Boys, Beatles, Bee Gees...60s and 70s stuff.
2) We all know Sinatra sang, and he won an Oscar for his acting. But he also painted and was proud to sell a few canvasses anonymously (signed "Artanis"). Do you have a secret talent? He one an Oscar? Man, shows what I know. And man, an artist too? I can't say zip have any secret talents, no.
3) Those close to Sinatra maintained that every time he sang,"In the Wee Small Hours" (hear him perform it live here) he conjured up how it felt to lose his great love. Have you ever had your heart broken? Well, I can't listen to it because it's not available on my tablet. But anyway, my heart was pretty broken when the family moved away from Dubbo, I loved that place sniff.
4) In 1966, when he was 50, Sinatra married 21 year old Mia Farrow. Their union lasted less than two years. Do you think a wide age gap necessarily dooms a romantic relationship? Um...I guess it makes the relationship much more difficult, different life experiences and all that.
5) Offstage Sinatra wore orange sweaters and liked seeing orange throw pillows in his home and dressing room because he believed "orange is the happiest color." What color raises your spirits? GREEN!
6) Frank and his loyal buddies were famously known as "The Rat Pack." How many people do you consider close friends? Including internet friends? Hmmm, about 7 or 8.
7) Sinatra's children followed their father into show business. What advice would you give a young person entering your career of choice? Pft, I can't even get into the career of my choice so I've got no business advising anyone else.
8) Legend has it that Frank was embarrassed by a scar on his face (received at birth from the forceps used in his delivery) and worked hard to cover it. Do you have a physical characteristic that you try to hide? Well, sometimes my legs, because thanks to my Maltese heritage waxing only lasts like a week and a half and I can't be arsed to so them all that often.
9) In 1964, when he first heard The Beatles, Sinatra was very dismissive. By 1970, he called the Beatles' "Something" one of the most beautiful ballads ever. Tell us about something you changed your mind about. Um...hmm... I fear I'm not really the 'change my mind' kind of person, much to my grandmother's annoyance. So, yeah...nothing comes to mind, maybe Thai food, I didn't think I like it, but I quite enjoyed it!
Saturday Six
1. What is the best part of your job? (If you’re unemployed or retired, what’s the best part of your day?) At the news agency, free magazines! :O)
2. What was your favorite television show when you were a child? Hmmm, well when I was really young it was Inspector Gadget. Ah i loved that show.
3. When you go to a coffee shop, what is your “usual” order? A hot or an iced chocolate. Mmm.
4. When you watch a movie, do you skip the previews or do you watch them all with anticipation? Skip them, screw that shot.
5. What’s the best thing that happened to you today (or this week)? This week? I guess the P-Day Morning Tea on Thursday, there were cakes and biscuits and cupcakes yum! Plus a lot of us dressed up in something P-ish, niiiice.
6. Do you know any knock-knock jokes? If so, list it. Um... I'm afraid I don't! Jokes aren't my forte.
Right and with only 10 minutes to midnight I shall be off, those clothes won't hang themselves after all!
Goodnight!
But yeah that was fun. :O)
