Well, That Was A Bust!
Jul. 23rd, 2006 06:14 pmThe Antiques Fair that is...first of all I arrived only an hour before it was due to close, so I wasn't going to go in, but I really wanted to know what was in there so I caved and forked over the ten bucks...the nice old man at the door gave me a discount. But seriously I should have asked him about what was in there before paying because the Book stall taht piqued my interest was only for books on antique! I thought there might be old stuff and whatnot, so you know what a pisser. And there was a depressing lack of drawers...but there were a number of hats, very interesting. Still, I hardly stayed in there 15 minutes so a bit of a waste of 7 bucks...oh well, I guess it will go to bringing more antiques to the world, which is good.
I was cheered up a lot more though when I went to the K-Mart where I found SQUEESY pillows! I've wanted a super-squeezy pillow ever since I saw one at Ben's house. It's probably not as good as the one at his house, but it's a nice lime green and big and it's squeezy! Good for an anxious person such as myself.
In other news I called the family up and put my mother's idea to them, they were somewhat surprised but they said they'd give it serious thought and get back to me, so now I'm thinking about that...and wondering about my poll *coughcough* ;O). But I mustn't forget that tomorrow at 10 I have an interview in the city I just remembered as I was shopping! Can't be forgetting that, or calling up Preview to see what's going down there. They said they were moving, I wonder where too...I hope it's somewhere still accessible by bus.
Anyway, to get over my disappointment over the Antiques Fair I'm watching Bargain Hunt Live, which is my favourite one now because David Dickenson (aka the man with whacky rainbow glasses!) is still the host of that one. The regular one is hosted by this guy with weird teeth. Now you shouldn't judge people on their teeth, but this guy seems to be missing one in a place that looks really uncomfortable if you were eating or anything.
( And now to catch up the Memes! )
Before I go, here's a Quiz I took the other day:
Accurate? Maybe, but all the same, I don't care for dogs at all, but them's the breaks!

Before I go, here's a Quiz I took the other day:
You Are: 70% Dog, 30% Cat |
![]() You and dogs definitely have a lot in common. You're both goofy, happy, and content with the small things in life. However, you're definitely not as needy as the average dog. You need your down time occasionally. |
