And after a late start the Moose is catching up admirably on her fellows! Nobody knows how to write filler better than me, so it stands to reason, heh heh heh. :O)
I had a break through today when trying to figure out the set up with the Mayoral elections in Hill Valley, originally I figured it'd be every five years, but that didn't seem quite right, so I made it four years like the President has to, but considering 1955 was an election year that didn't work, so finally I tried three years after reading something on a website and what ho! It worked! Of course this kinda stuffs up the last bit of the first part of the story (you got that? ;O), I'll need to fix that before I can put the thing up.
Man, I sure wish I could use Flash, it'd be so great if I could put the story up on the net like the NaNo website! It'd probably end up being hard to read, but man it'd be so cool! :OD
Any ideas on learning Flash? Do you need a special program that costs a mint to get etc?
And now, Memes wheeee!
Friday Forum
What if...?
1. What if you won 20 million dollars? How would you spend it? Would you quit working?
First I scream and cheer, then I'd set some aside to start my water filters for all. Not sure if I could quit working, I assume so, but those water filters might take quite a lot of money...I'd also pay off my parents house, but a million in a savings account and buy a Ferrari. :O)
2. What if you were President of the U.S.? What would you do or change?
Well, I'm not sure, first of all, Iraq's in a bit of trouble and I certainly wouldn't want to leave the people to suffer like at the end of the First Gulf War (seriously, I heard the worst story about that!). But I'd cut military spending as soon as possible and apologise to the UN for treating it like a piece of crap. I'd also call for a ban on the Death Penatly and see what can be done about the lack of a Medicare safety net. It's pretty bad when people can't go to the doctor for serious stuff over there!
3. What if you could meet any one? Who would it be and why?
I'd really like to meet Ghandi, I think he'd have lots to teach us and I'd like to learn from him and his wisdom.
4. What if you could live anywhere in the world? Where would it be and why?
If I can take the family and friends along I'd been all over New York, I think it'd be really cool to live there for a while, but failing that Sydney is great!
5. What if you could be anyone for a day? Who would it be and why? What would you want
to accomplish?
I'd be President of Singapore, and I'd grant clemency for Van Nguyen right away! I'd abolish the Death Penalty, but long sentences for drug mules would remain. I think it'd be a good idea to set up an International Drug Investigation Team if there's not one all ready who would follow up on leads from drug mules and go over the big guns.
Friday's Feast
Appetizer
What did you look like when you were a teenager?
Much the same as I do now. I haven't changed all that much, ever since I got rid of the fringe (damn that thing looked awful).
Salad
Whose advice do you listen to?
Mum and Dad's...or at least I should, because they're usually right. :OP And friends too.
Soup
Name a book you would like to memorize.
Gee, dunno...there's a lot of books I know from cover to cover so to speak and I like to read them still, so I really wouldn't want to memorise one. Except maybe the Bible, 'cause then I could tell off George Pell when he starts on about the 'God hates homosexual activity it's in the Bible', yeah so is eating pork and wearing polyester! I don't actually know the thingies, what do you call those...the 3:17 things?
Main Course
How often are you sick?
Well, I often feel crappy, but not actually sick, I guess two or three times a year.
Dessert
Do you like or dislike change?
I'm a creature of habit so not really, it freaks me out quite a bit, even when it's good, once I get in a good place it's OK.
Hmmm, I guess all that Turkey put the Meme-Writers to sleep because that's all that's up tonight. :O)
In other news, an Aussie girl has picked up a bronze medal in the All-Around section of the World Gymnastics Championchips Whoo! Best result for us ever! I love Gymnastics, but alas it was never for me, just tonight I had to climb on a chair to turn off the fire alarm and I almost fell off! No way could I get on the Paralell Bars or even the beam!
And there's still two nights of big events to go! Yay! Now THIS is sports TV! I hope the ice skating will come back to ESPN soon. Good times, good times.
