anonymoose_au3:53pm: Well, friendly get-together Moose at least, Tonight I'm heading out to a friend's place, so I worked on getting my NaNo word count today, and I have and then some!
17996 / 50000 words. 36% done!
Well, technically I'm still behind, but as long as I keep writing at least 1883 words a day I'll be able to get there. So go me!

Good or Bad
I’ve seen many bloggers say that what draws them to certain books or authors is good writing, and what causes them to stop reading a certain book or author is bad writing. What constitutes good writing and bad writing to you?
Good writing:
Show not tell
Believable or funny dialogue
Description when needed but not half a page to describe a blade of grass
An interesting premise.

Bad writing:
Mary-Sue like characters
Too many story threads that aren't been followed through
Too damn descriptive! Purple prose

War Stories
It is November 11th, known here in the U.S. as Veteran’s Day, formerly Armistice Day to remember the end of WWI but expanded to honor all veterans who have fought for their country, so …
Do you read war stories? Fictional ones? Histories?
I've read Sci-fi and fantasy stories with war in them, highly advanced technology and aliens or knights and catapults. But yeah I don't really read stories or histories about historical battles that have occured.

1. Do you watch TV at all?
Do I! I'm watching it right now...or at least listening to it, I like background noise.
2. If you do watch TV (shows), which ones do you watch? If you don’t watch TV, why not?
All sorts! Docos, game shows, cartoons, some reality tv...news.
3. Do you have any guilty pleasure shows you watch? If so, want to fess up?
Ummm...I do enjoy watching 'Embarrassing Bodies' and you know a high proportion of medical problems in that show are dedicated to the butt, LOL.

Vacation!!
1. When’s the last time you took a vacation (long or short)? What did you do?
Ummm...that'd be about a year and a half ago, when I went and spent a week down in Canberra with my cousins. We did lots of stuff, like visit the Art Museums and Questacon, went and visited cousin Alex at his house and saw the National Library. Good times, good times...
2. Do you prefer mini-vacations or long vacations? Why?
I'm not sure...probably long ones because I'd like to visit far off places and a weekend won't really cut it if you're going to do that.
3. What is your dream vacation?
To LA and the BTTF film sites! Then living it up in New York City! :OD

What do you think of holiday wish lists – tacky or useful? Do you make one for anyone? For whom if so? What is on your wish list this year?
I haven't made one since I was a kid making Christmas lists! But I've got nothing against it...although I suppose it depends what's on it, like a new car or something...
As for my wish list...LJ credits for my RPG LJs wouldn't be amiss, LOL!

What do you do to live a “green” (environmentally-friendly) lifestyle? Is being “green” important to you?
Well, I always try to recycle and reuse my shopping bags and not keep lights on and electrical stuff on. Buut...I do like to keep the TV on when I'm home, and my laptop too, so I'm not sure if that cancels the other stuff out...

1. Sometimes, I think I'm addicted to LJ and then I realise I am.
2. I have two seriously ovedue library books and I'm a bit worried about the whole thing.
3. Small things can be very cute indeed!
4. A good documentary is very enlightening.
5. I keep meaning to find out how my newest uni subject works, but I keep forgetting, I better get a move on!
6. I haven't caught up on all the memes ...yet.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _____, tomorrow my plans include _____ and Sunday, I want to _____! See next week's

1. When pigs fly it'll be harder to make sausages.
2. I'm still getting lots of pimples at 27 seriously?!
3. Call me I usually answer!
4. I'm a big fan of the Whose Line is it Anyway?'s game if you know what I mean.
5. The most entertaining person in my life is my friends because they crack me up (and look at that poor grammar!)
6. So who's on first, but who's next?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the get-together and spending the night at my friend's house, tomorrow my plans include watching the latest episode of Merlin OMG!and Sunday, I want to _____!
