anonymoose_au12:25pm: Happy Halloween to all my US friends!
In other news, I spent my 31st October having a get-together it the friends. I'm happy to say most of 'em showed up (even though I only got three RSVPs - sometimes reply all just doesn't work) and we had lots of fun doin' our usual thing, eating, swearing, chatting. Didn't even need to put on a DVD!
And half of my cupcakes were consumed, yummy, very yummy indeed and that means I still have half left over, good stuff.
Also my friends are a pretty neat bunch so I didn't have to clean up a whole lot of mess afterwards. :O)
Bah! I just got a phone call from some sort survey/telemarket! Argh! Damn their hides!

The Election Edition
Q1 - Talk About It: Many of my friends have commented they cannot discuss politics with co-workers, family, friends and others without conflict rearing its ugly head. Do you feel you can talk with your family and friends about this particularly divisive Presidential election?
Well, yeah, 'cause I'm not American, but in regards to the Australian elections, sure! I love a good debate! All my co-workers vote opposite to me, but we discussed it and of course, Grandpa and I like a good old debate. Although Gramps did call me a Commie once and my co-workers said I was a bit naive. Well, hmpf!
Q2 - And The Winner Is: Do you know who you're voting for in next week's Presidential election?

Q3 - Call It: A pollster is a professional whose primary job is conducting private pre-election surveys and advising candidates on election strategy. Put your pollster hat on: Who will win the Presidential election and by what margin (in percentages)?
Well, I'm thinking Obama will get in, but it'll be close...I've got no idea of precentages though...it'll probably be something small over all like .5% or something.
Q4 - Issues: What do you think is the most important issue in next Tuesday's Presidential election?
The economy I think. Although the war in Iraq and Afghanistan needs more attention too! It's turned into quite a mess.

2. A good TV show is music to my ears.
3. Lucky is that cat that advertises the $2 lottery. (Eek! I've been indoctrinated!)
4. Being a good person is something I take very seriously.

6. Chips, Cheezles Coca-Cola and some coffee for work was the last thing I bought at the store.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to working on my NaNo, tomorrow my plans include sitting around, going to the libraryand Sunday, I want to _____!

Do you answer the phone if you don’t recognize the number on the caller ID? Do you have a land line phone?
Well, I don't have caller-ID on my landline, and until just recently I didn't have it on my mobile either, so I had to answer it all the time in case it was work related. Now I do have caller ID, but I usually answer because like I said it could be work related. But it does mean if I miss a call I know if it's someone I know trying to get into contact.

I'd say Dad, he can reserrect just about anything! Although maybe he just buys really hardy plants. LOL!
2. Among people you know, who has the bluest blood?
I've got no idea...I think M's side of the family is related to a famous New York person, apparently the mayor lives in the mansion he built way back when.
3. Among people you know, who has the yellowest belly?
LOL, me! I don't even like the soundtrack of scary movies, forget watching them!
4. Among people you know, who has the blackest heart?
My boss jokes it's me! (He has a golden heart) But seriously, I don't know anyone with a black heart!
5. Among people you know, who is the most silver-tongued?
Hmmm...ponders at length...well usually my mother can talk me into doing her favours and stuff, but I've recently started putting my foot down, go me!

I really like Oh Come All Ye Faithful, though I certainly can't hit the notes!

Life of Brian for the win! "Bomb! Whatcha bring a bomb for? There's a child here!"
3. Memory?
Christmas in England, it really snowed! :OD
4. Baked good or desert?
Grandpa's potatoes! Is that a good? Or is good the same as a confectionary type thing? In which case Cadbury Easter eggs for the win! The big ones! :OD
5. Each year, what's the one moment that lets you know it's officially the holiday season?
When Mum and Dad bring down the Christmas decorations (can't say that for the rest of the world, they've all ready put Christmas decos up - in October!)
Well, it's officially NaNoWriMo here in Australia and I should get onto my novel since I can't write as much during the week due to my job. Wish me luck fellow Ljers and NaNoers!
Oh and I got my tax in in the nick of time, but I'm not looking forward to the Tax Office confirming it because I think I owe money. Bummer! Guess I can't complain, it's not like $1000 or something. Still sucks though.
