4:50pm: Well, it's not actually new, in fact it's got a few dents on it, but it's greenish and it's zippy! I can call it Zippy McZipperson...at least only in my mind, LOL.
I have been thinking today that maybe the stomach problems I'm having are from anxiety after all, because well, I'm getting the new job! Of course I've all ready worked there so I know where I'm going and stuff and I sort of remember what goes down there.
And of course the parental units are leaving this Friday! I'll be able to send them SMSs but it will not be the same of course, sniff! Maybe we could some how set up video conferencing or something.
I do have Ned the fish here with me now, he's happy in his wine glass shaped bowl with his plastic plant. Must remember to feed him.

Q's from
timewanderer
1) Do you feel safer from the risk of terrorism in Australia than Americans, Britons, and Israelis do in their respective countries? Why?
I would say so, because I've never really even thought about it. There has been a few people arrested under the suspicion of planning something bad, but I'm not sure if they've gone anywhere. Although there has been terrorists attack here, back in the 80s, so it's not totally impossible. But there's not really much you can do to avoid a terrorist attack unless you know it's coming, so I don't want to add it to my list of anxiety provoking things! That list is way too long all ready!
2) It is 1985, but you are the age you are now. You are in an alternate universe where Doc and Marty actually exist. The BTTF movie trilogy never existed, so you have no knowledge of technology up to that point -- no PCs (computers had minimal usage and mostly only in the workplace), no cell phones, etc. You are in Hill Valley, CA and, unbeknownst to Doc and Marty, you witness all the events that take place at the Twin Pines Mall. You overhear the two talking about time travel after you see Einstein travel one minute into the future, so even though you saw what happened and then heard Doc explain to Marty what happened, you have trouble comprehending it at first. You consider confronting the two at the moment Doc says "What is it, Einey?" when suddenly you see a set of headlights come on in the distance. What are your thoughts as all of this is taking place?
"Holy Freaking shit! A time machine! That is the coolest thing I have ever seen! No way can it be true, man! I gotta ask these guys what this is all about..." And of course when the Libyans appear and start shooting I'd probably make a break for the nearest pay phone to dial 911! Although, while doing so I might blurt out something about a time-machine and then the cops would think I was cranking them...Although what about the whole Twin Pines to Lone Pines Mall thing? I suppose that wouldn't occur to me...still bit of a weird thought there. I might cause a whole lot of trouble though if I do get the cops to come because they'll arrive just in time to see the Libyans run into the photoboth! Hopefully they won't find the DeLorean though...
3) If you could spend one year in another country, all expenses paid, where would you like to go?
Oooh...what a great deal! Hmmm...I've always wanted to go to New York, but I dunno...I'd have all expensive paid so I wouldn't need to work, right? But then it would be cool to go to England so I could visit all the castles George III lived in and pop over to Europe. Sooo, I guess, London, England.
4) You are a contestant on the Australian version of Deal or No Deal. You have taken it down to the final two cases, yours and the one remaining case being held by the "Dealette." The remaining cases hold $5 and $200,000. The banker offers you $102,500. Andrew O'Keefe asks you the question for the final time -- Deal or no deal? Do you take the deal, or risk losing $102,495 to almost double the offer?
Oh man, I'm totally taking $102,495! I don't trust my luck! I'm pretty surprised I got that far, so I wouldn't want to risk it! $102,495 is a whole lot, I could pay half this apartment off right away! :O) I assume therefore my answer is 'Deal'.
5) What is your most favorite thing to do and why?
Writing, it's a lot of fun, takes my mind off problems and whatnotand it's always cool to be able to make up your own take on characters and events. Fun all 'round says I. :O)
Man, my poor face, those pimples really are gross...but I'm probably overreacting here, since when M saw me today she said I looked well. So the stomach pain and face must not be as bad as I think! Which is good because I wouldn't want to go to work looking gross!

Well, as you said in your brackets, evidentally not. Not everything you think of is a good idea.
2227. Is happiness really the most important thing in life (or are other things, like security, freedom, order, etc., more important)?
Hmmm...the other things you mention seem to contribute to happiness (yes even order!), so maybe you could say happiness is.
2228. How did we start using the phrase "Just be yourself" in the first place? Who coined it, and why did they choose those words?
Hmmm...dunno...it seems to show up a lot in movies doesn't even, although there first time I heard it was in Aladdin.:O) It's pretty good advice though.
2229. Do you really make your own decisions, or do you just make them en masse with everyone else?
I'm not good at making decisions, I usually ask for others imput...which isn't so bad, except I do it for everything.

A lot of times...until I realise it could be a whole lot worse!

2235. You know how there are different decks of tarot cards (cats, Lord of the Rings, fairies, witches, etc)? What theme would make a cool new deck?
Dunno, never thought of it before...Harry Potter ones maybe?
2236. Do you believe that downloading music for free from Napster-type sites is wrong, and why?
Well...I download old songs, which you can hear all the time on the radio...so I don't really see the difference so much...yes, I'm a bad person. :OP
2237. Are you for or against censoring child pornography?
For, especially since so much of it is real! That means every picture is a child being molested and abused, how sick is that! I think anyone involved in such a thing should go to jail for a very, very long time.
Are naked child images in paintings more acceptable than photographs of naked children?
Well, it depends on what kind of paintings they are, I mean if it's a classical image of Cupid or something, that's acceptable. By they same token pictures where babies just happen to be without their nappies are for the most part not disturbing. Although you never know what sickos are out there.
Why or why not?
See above.
Now that we can create such lifelike digital images, do you think it should be allowed for digital child pornography to exist (as in there were no children involved in the porn, it is all digitally made, the kids aren't real, they just look real)?
Ewww...I'm not sure if there's much that can be done about it, but my gut feeling is no. Abusing a child is the biggest breech of trust any adult could commit, so even wallowing in thinking about it in a fictionalised manner is bad.
2238. What's the deal with Wicca, paganism, Satanism, etc.?
Well, I'd hardly compare the first two with the last one. The last one seems rather scary to me, I mean Satan is all about making others suffer and shit like that, seems like a really horrible thing to get into. But i suppose there's some pretty bad fundamentalists and what not out there too.
What is the deal with people practicing magic?
Beats me, maybe they feel it works for them? And if it does and it's not harming others, what's the problem I say?
What is magic?
Something that can't be explained (phew, that got me out of that one! ;O)
2239. If you were given the opportunity to lead a creative writing program for a small group of students after school in high schools with less money and in generally poor neighborhoods (more violence and drugs than your own neighborhood), would you do it to help the students there out?

>Would you volunteer to do it for 2 days a week, or would you insist on getting paid?
Well, if I could do it, I guess is it would depend how poor the school was and how poor I was.
Would you prefer to lead a group of high school students or middle school students in this neighborhood?
Probably the middle schoolers, they won't be so tough yet...although some of the docos I've seen show a pretty dark side of even the youngest kids.
2240. If you could pick anyone, who would you want living next door to you?
Colin Firth! LOL!
2241. If you were a tarot card, which one would you be?
The Anxious one! That one probably doesn't exist though...
2242. Should high school cafeterias stop serving Twinkies and other fatty foods?
Yeah, here in Austalia you mostly bring your own food...which doesn't guarentee kids won't eat unhealthy food, but you might as well not offer them on a silver platter.
2243. Would you rather that McDonalds took a lot of fat out of their fries, even if they wouldn't taste as good?
Eh, dunno, I've gone off Maccas, which is good news for my health.
2244. Do you neglect your friends when you have a significant other?
Never had a significant other, but I sure hope not.
2245. Do you think that an advertisement for a cake decorating set would make good song lyrics?
Err...I dunno know, but apparently the end of the song Come and See The Real Thing is just some guy reading the contents off a bottle of methlayted spirits or something.
Would a band that used this ad for song lyrics take off or just fizzle out?
No idea, especially since I can't remember who sang the aforementioned song and if they had any other hits, but I suspect they wouldn't go all that far.
2246. What has changed your life?
Graduating from High School.
2247. Are you more practical or imaginative?
Imaginative.
2248. Can you see beautiful colors without closing your eyes?
Er...sort of.
2249. What are the ten best songs / bands to listen to while making love?
Got no idea...
2250. What do you believe in?
That I can do it...I hope...
Yikes, what a worry! Ian Thorpe, the greatest swimmer in Australian sport is in trouble with the Drugs Board of Swimming because a result of his came out weird last year! Surely not, Thorpie! He's everyone's hero! Well, everyone in Australia...I hope there's an explanation for it, how awful would it be if Thorpe really had taken a band subject. Terrible.
Gawd, stupid guts, still messing with me...sigh...
Whoops! I just discovered I accidentally took my father's mobile phone thinking it was my spare one (the one I use to play the radio when I'm at work or something), how embarrassing! I shall have to drop it off tomorrow.
Last night we had Earth Hour, which I mentioned before, now there was still quite a few lights on, I don't quite see the point of keeping all the damn lights on all the time! I mean it's not like the pilots can't see enough of the city not to crash into something...
LMAO! Oh my God, did you know there's a Mr. World competition? Just like Miss. World! And dang me these fellows are hawt! I wonder if the swimsuit contest gets marked the highest. :OP I also do love the logo with the little bowtie there. Very cute.
Well, I've got to get back to my cleaning, because I'm running out of time here! And if this place isn't clean my parents will kick my ass!
Ta-ta for now!
