6:30pm: I had quite the lucky break when I went to the Franklins once the IGA up in Newtown, now usually the parking lot there is full and you have to drive around and around for like 10 minutes. But as I turned in lo and behold some guy was pulling out of a spot! This has never happened before, so that's good stuff. Except walking is pretty painful what with this thigh thing... I went to the Pharamacy, but I didn't really find a simple thigh-sized compression bandage, and of the one there I wasn't sure what size I'd be (I've got rather big thighs, frankly.) So I didn't get any of that. But chocolate was on-special, I got that along with sausags and what not, they're cooking now.

And finally! The meme going around:

What are the five coolest gadgets, in any fandom?

1. Delorean Time machine- it's a time machine dude! I mean the things you could see with that thing!

2. These robots from Robotech, those things are animated in a totally cool fashion! You just want to fly one (don't really want to launch all the missles though.)

3. The Planet Express ship in Futurama, it can get to the moon in less than 10 seconds! And has it's own gravity to prevent muscle wastage, which I sure don't need!

4. The wands in Harry Potter, imagine been able to do magic, whoo!

5. The Spider-mobile...OK, not really, but that thing is so funny! Especially when you consider the fact that Peter Parker can't drive.

What are your five favourite action/fight scenes?

1. George vs. Biff at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance no matter how many times I see that I'm on the edge of my seat! Come on George!

2.Max Sterling and Miriya in Robotech both on the battle field and in the arcade (this probably makes no sense to anyone on my Friends List), but that was seriously cool!

3. The Chicken Fight in Family Guy, LOL, it's too funny!

3. Harry Osborn vs. The Hobgoblin- he goin' down, beeyitch (the Hobgoblin that is, not Harry).

4. The "Kill the Beast" scene in Beauty and the Beast, pretty intense, but when you listen to the commentary it ends up been most amusing.

5. Marty vs Biff- with the skateboard...that was some good shit (pun intended ;O).

What 5 media (books/movies/tv show) universes would you want to visit if they were, you know, real?

1. Hill Valley in Back To The Future - I'm all over that!

2. Hogwarts - How cool would that be!

3. Springfield USA - I'd finally find out which state it's in, LOL!

4. Sweet Valley, California - Oh shut up :OP

5. The world of the Belgariad and Mallorean books by David and Leigh Eddings - an very intriguing place.

Name five fannish races [species] you find yourself drawn to, and why you are drawn to them.

1. Wizards - I've always wanted to be able to do magic!

2. Robots - Well, ones like Bender from Futurama "Bite my shiny metal ass!"

3. Austurians from the Belgariad - they go around like Knights o' Old...that's gotta be some fun times.

4. Talking dogs...and babies - Family Guy, Brian and Stewie...they crack me up.

5. Homer - well hey the Scientists couldn't figure out if he was man or ape!

What five scenes from your fanfics would you like to see illustrated?

1. Harry punching one of the Seniors at his school as I wrote in Harry and Evan's Online LJs, because I'd like to see that.

2. This isn't up on the internet or anything, but Percy and Penelope arguing at the Hogwarts Christmas Dinner (actually I haven't even written it, but it's there...in my mind...)

3. George and Lorraine's wedding - an early and non-published BTTF fanfic of mine had Marty and Jennifer going to it.

4. It's not really a fanfic, but George III (as Prince of Wales) trying to row a boat would be pretty funny.

5. Another nonpublished scene - Biff trying to chase poor George down with his new Ford! George ends up scaling a tree to escape!

What five characters would you want working for you if you were a supervillain plotting world domination?

1. The Original Green Goblin - 'Cause that's one evil son of a bitch, he wouldn't let little things like morals get in his way.

2. Breetai from Robotech - This guy will kick your ass! He's not a bad strategist either.

3. Jessica Wakefield - Hey, she can talk anyone into doing anything just about!

4. Mr. Burns - We're gonna need money for this operation.

5. Zedar from The Belegariad - He can provide the magic and isn't anywhere as creepy as Voldie.

Name the five scenes that make you melt in True Fannish Love. Every. Single. Time. You know the scenes, the ones that either pimped you in, or proved to you that you had well and truly fallen.

1. "I never...I never let anyone read my stories." - I'm not sure this is acutally fannish love, more like fannish discomfort because this hits so close to the bone with me I was all - No freaking way.

2. George and Lorraine's first kiss in Back to the Future, awwww...plus Marty's future is saved, Hurrah!

3. Ron and Harry save Hermione from the troll- "Wingardium Leviosa!" indeed!

4. Harry Osborn's first appearance in Spider-Man wearing a bow tie, LOL, it's the mid-60s, but man what a square!

5. Gambit and Rogue play basketball in X-Men, the first signs of a rocky relationship! Plus it's Gambit! He totally rocks.

DVD 5

1. How many and which of your fandoms do you own on DVD?

They're not all on DVD but I've got...

BTTF I, II and III
Spider-man 1
and 2
X-Men 1
and 2
Futurama
The Simpsons
Family Guy

The four Harry Potter movies
The Madness of King George
Sensibility
Pride and Prejudice
Emma
Victoria and Albert

2. If you had tapes, did you toss them when you got the DVDs?

I've still got my BTTF tapes because they're ones I brought, the rest of them are slowly disappearing (being taped over by non-DVD available things), except The Simpsons 'cause new ones are still coming out!

3. What are your favorite extras (commentary tracks, behind-the-scenes featurettes, bloopers, foreign language dub, interviews with cast, etc.)? Generally and specifically.

I absolutely love director's commentaries! It's just so interesting hearing all that behind the scenes stuff. I also like Behind the Scenes feauturette, especially ones for period dramas, all that interesting stuff about the costumes and whatnot.

4. What do you view first: the episodes, commentary, extras?

Director's Commentary because I've generally all ready seen the episodes/movie so I want to take a deeper look into the show.

5. What fandoms on DVD do you not yet own or are not out yet?

Haven't got the last X-Men film, I keep forgetting too, I hear it totally sucks though, so maybe I'll wait to watch it on TV.

CHARACTER 5

1. Who is your favourite animated character? Why?

Oooh, that's a tough one...I shall have to go with Homer...he's just too funny and cute! Gotta love Homer!

2. Who is your favourite television character? Why?

Hmmm...I'll say Niles on Frasier, gotta love how neurotic that guy is!

3. Who is your favourite (no longer in production) televison character? Why?

Hmmm...well Niles could count for this, but I'll say Angelica from Rugrats.

4. Who is your favourite television ensemble cast? Why? (If you don't have one/want to imagine the possibilities, assemble one and explain your choices and the fandoms they are from).

Hmmm...well, when the Griffins from Family Guy get together...get ready for some laughs!

5. Who is your favourite movie character? Why?

George McFly, hands down. The guy totally reminds me of myself and I just really like his character, his love for writing and all that.

DEATH 5

1) What is your favourite death scene (movies and/or tv)? Why?

I don't like death scenes, if I want to be depressed I'll watch the news...but I guess...Prince Albert's death in Victoria and Albert, dear dear Albert!

2) Name the top three filmed death scenes of all time, in order. (The list doesn’t necessarily have to include your favourite.)

I) Archie's death in Hornblower, I actually heard about it before I saw it and it made me cry on and off for three days. Yeah, I'm sad.

II) Roy Fokker's death in Robotech, I am actually unable to watch this scene since Roy became my favourite character in Robotech I watched it once though and read the novelisation and so on so I know what happens...

III) Uncle Ben's death in Spider-Man, poor Peter! Although the comic one where he doesn't even get to say goodbye is even sadder.

3) How many times has your favourite character died? Dream sequences can count. Who is it, and how did they die each time?

George has died once, shot by Biff Tannen in 1973-A I actually wrote a fic about this after reading a bit too much Patricia Cornwell and watching a bit too much Law & Order. You don't wanna go there.

4) How do you, as a viewer, feel if a show kills, then resurrects a character? I mean, if someone can’t stay in the ground, do you feel it “cheapens” the emotional impact of their death? Or do you now not get upset if a character dies?

Well, it's hard...I hate the fact that in the comic-verse of Spider-Man Harry Osborn is dead, but bringing him back to life seems to be a cheap move...then again...I wouldn't totally be opposed, as long as he comes back as a good-guy, because he is, damnit.

5) Death stories—love ‘em or hate ‘em? Can you give a two sentence reason?

I hate them...well that's not true, some of them are written or filmed really really well, but since most of the time the death is forever that really bums me out. Because it always seems to be my favourite character and the fact I'll never see them again sucks ass.

Also from various LJs:

The Challenge: Assemble a superteam from your various fandoms.

Your team must consist of the following:
(1) Team Leader
(1) Warrior
(1) Smartypants
(1) Hottie
(1) Comic Relief
All your superteam members must be from DIFFERENT fandoms.

Team Leader: Professor X- from the X-Men, because he's Professor X! Team leader if there ever was one.

Warrior: Miriya from Robotech, this chick will kill you four times before you hit the ground. (/simpsons quote)

Smartypants: Percy Weasley, he's got the book smarts for sure, but his social skills could use some brushing up.

Hottie: Mr. Darcy, the original hot guy...oh swooooon. Plus he can fence you're going down!

Comic Relief: Harry Osborn, he's always good for a laugh in the comics...and I'm not just talking about his dress sense.

Well, that took rather much longer than I thought...and I totally sucked ass at Temptation tonight, I got 15! You start out with 20! Geeze, the embarrassment.

I've got a pimple on my chin right near my mouth it's really irritating, but at least it isn't a cold sore.

Anywho, I'm off to do some...stuff, I'll be back...probably :OP
