Dude, Where's My Hot Water?

teh_ho, since I went to all this trouble to set up all the LJs I figure I need to use 'em.
But to move on to the subject line of this post, I got in the shower this morning, turned on the tap and there was no hot water! In fact the longer I kept the water running the colder it got! So, I gave up on that endeavour and now I'm sitting here worrying...I could have sworn I paid all my bills- that was why I didn't have enough money to pay my parents back for the leveys- but could my gas bill be overdue and they've cut me off? If so why didn't I get an overdue notice? I've been checking the mail ever day!
It's not just the shower either, the other taps only have cold water in them too. :O( Oh dear, oh dear...
Well I just tried calling them up and they're weren't very helpful at all! They can't even check if my bill is all paid up! Well that's just great! I can't do the washing up now and I'm running out of plates!
And now my back/butt area hurts again...it's just not my day! :O(
Anyway, I'm going to play Sims 2 now, so here's the Memes:

:: A Weighty Sat-8::
1. Are you over- or under-weight, or "just right"?
Just right! Seriously I'm actually right in the middle of that green area...although just three or four more kilos would tip me into over-weight, so I must be careful.
2. What do you consider a "healthy weight" for yourself?
Curren weight: 55 tp 56 kilos (I drink a lotta water! :O)
3. In your past, have you struggled with weight issues?
Nope! I always used to worry I might get anorexic or something without realising it, but that was more from reading books and stuff on it.
4. Give us an example of a comfort food for you.
Kraft Cheese Wedges, I sure wish I had some right now!
5. Aside from eating when hungry, are you a 'snacker' when you are bored, stressed, or emotionally upset?
I probabably do it for all three! Usually I eat a carrot when I'm bored though.
6. On nightline last night, the host was talking about models at fashion week being on "The Nicotine Diet." I've seen people GAIN weight from stopping smoking, but not smoking to lose. Have you every smoked to keep thin, or known anyone who has?
No, but people do gain weight after quitting, of course keep in mind that all things been equal smoking will kill ya a Hell of a lot faster than smoking. Eat a carrot when you want ciggy says I! You can even hold it like one! (Nicotine gum helps too)
7. I've never been a dessert person, and rarely eat desserts; all of my girlfriends are the same way. Do you regularly eat dessert when you go out to a restaurant or eat at home?
I love dessert! I usually don't have it at a resturants because I like to wait a while after dinner before eating dessert (especially since your brain can't tell if your full until 20 minutes after eating, and I sure don't want to overeat. And sitting in a resturant for two hours isn't my idea of a good time.
8. If someone close to you asked your advice on the best way to lose weight, what would you tell them?
Consult your doctor because I sure don't know and I wouldn't want to give crappy advice!
Saturday Six
1. A friend arrives from out of town and wants to go to dinner at a nice locally-owned restaurant: where would you take her?
I guess one of the Italian ones, I havenn't actually gone to a resturant here in Newtown. If I was at my parents place I'd take them to Essilenos (spelling?), that's good eatin'!
2. Your friend then says he wants to learn something about the history of your city: where would you take him first?
Sydney Musuem, they've got an interesting display going on right at the moment, but I can't remember what it's on. It's also in an area of old 18th-19th century buildings.
3. Does your current hometown have any specific kind of weather threats (i.e., tornado alley, etc.) or natural disaster threats (i.e., earthquake faults, volcanic activity) that concerns you?
Drought! Our dam level is at 30% and getting lower every day! There's a big bruhaha about whether to recycle sewage or desalinate. I think the sooner would be a good idea (really they can do that!) or stormwater collecting, it often rains in the city, but not over the dam. All the storm water goes into the ocean...that means it gets all salty! So desalinating it is kinda of a waste of time when you could just pick it up on its way down.

Nope, but Ireland, sweeeet! I'd love to go to Ireland, it is the Emerald Isle with green as far as the eye can see! Alas I have no money, but my parents are going those lucky SOBs.

Well, I've never heard of it before really, but probably only for a visit. Ireland is a lot colder than Australia, and I hate cold weather. Also I don't like pubs! I like to swim too. Nope, I like where I live right now. :O)
Righto, now I'm off to play Sims 2. I haven't installed the patch yet, 'cause I hear there's problems with it (how does that work?) and messy with townie and toddler hair. I haven't had any of the problems it's supposed to fix (knock on wood!), sooo...
Anywho, time for action not talk!
