Fun With Typwriters!

10:34pm: Today at work, I was doing the usual thing with the files, a particularly boring batch this time, files can be an ass, sometimes they have too many staples, like some asshole just decided to use six staples to put two pages together, or there's no staples at all so there's really nothing to do. Anywho, I was doing this when the supervisor person, Rose, came in and asked if anyone could type. Actually, she went and got someone else first, but evidentally they couldn't or didn't want to do it, so she came back to ask and I volunteered.
My job was to type stuff on the microfiche seelves...very fiddley! And the typwriter was ancient! It was an electric one, but dude, a typewriter, old school! It was pretty fun (aren't I lame :OP) At least until I realised something...This morning my lower abdomenal area was in quite some pain, I figured it was from my exceptionally poor diet yesterday (I didn't have any fruit!) but...yeah...guess what the actual problem was.
DAMN me! And I wasn't even prepared! I ended up having to run to the petrol station to get pads, but wouldn't you know it they didn't have any "Super" ones, what's the deal with that? Anyway, long story short I now have to wash my jeans for the third time...God damnit!
Anyway, another annoyance was my little finger, the nail felt really weird, like something was stuck under there, but there wasn't, I've just trimmed it now, but it still feels weird, what's the deal with that, every so often my nails will hurt like that when I haven't done anything to it like slammed it in the door or something, does anyone else get weird pain in their nails?
Hmmm...so anyway, I was doing the typewriting thing, when suddenly the typewriter stopped working! I tried turning it on and off to reset it, but nothing doing, which was bad news because the supervisor had all ready left and she did want me to do as many labels as possible. In fact they asked me to come back tomorrow if I could, but alas the interview is on at 1:30 I think (or is it 11:30) either way too late to get to work, unless I want to go in super early if it is indeed at 1:30pm. I don't think I can be arsed to do that, because I keep not getting enough sleep. Hmmm....no even if I get up at like 5am or something I still wouldn't get five hours in and I need to wear my good clothes. I'll have to call 'em up...bummmer.
Well, I was gonna play Sims 2, but alas I didn't get home 'til late because I went to David Jones to get Dad's Father's Day present, and sadly the sale assistants didn't know where anything was! Well...at least not what I was looking for, typical Moose luck though, it was sitting right there on the Ground Floor and I walked passed it! Hmpf! After I got that, I caught the bus that goes by the IGA so I could get some sausages for dinner and some tissues. I'm pleased to announce that the sausages are tasting real good again! Yay!
So, yeah I got home late and I wanted to catch up on my friends page, so now it's too late to play them...ah well, tomorrow night!
Thursday 3X
Activities
1. What's your favorite thing to do? Why?
Make up stories, either in my head or write them down, or of course play Simmies with 'em. :O)
2. What do you do when you're bored?
The above, or read something, or surf random stuff on the net. Wikipedia's a great place to do that.
3. What do you do when you're lonley?
Umm...dunno, I'm a bit of a loner, so I don't get lonely all that much, when I do I usually call up my parents or my friends and talk to them. Or talk on AIM.
Bonus Question for Comments: What's your favorite genre of book to read? Why?
Everday life I'd say, I like reading about people and what they get up to and stuff. Multi-generational stuff is cool too...I also like David Eddings and Patricia Cornwall, so anything really, except straight out horror, which isn't my bag.
Booking Through Thursday
1. What is your favorite kind of reading? Novels? Biographies? Mathematical textbooks?
Hmmm, double questions! Please see above, although I like to add I like to read non-fiction stuff too. :O) Crime books, and bios on interesting historial figures, currently I'm on George III, of course. :O)
2. What do you like best about your favorite kind of reading? What keeps you coming back to that kind of book? Following a gripping story? Watching characters develop? Being educated about things and places you didn't know about? Letting your mind relax into someplace completely different?
Ummm...I just like reading, I guess it's all of the above, it's great to be able to forget all your troubles with a good book, and learn stuff you didn't know before and meeting cool and interesting characters. Aaah the book. :OD
Thursday Threesome
::Fluffy Bunny Rabbits::
Onesome: Fluffy-- is as fluffy does! It's almost lemon meringue season at that pie shop. Do you do fluffy pies? ...or is it fruit all the way for you? (Okay, Southerners: go ahead and expound on rhubarb...)
What the Hell does that "_____is as _____ does" mean anyway? Bloody confusing! Anyway to answer the question, nope I don't do fluffy pies, here in the land down under our most eaten pies are meat! Yummy indeed! But there's nothing fluffy about that. Although you can get pies with mashed potato on top which is kinda fluffy, but I don't like them.
Twosome: Bunny-- slippers? Yes? No? Barefoot? Shoes? What do you schlep around the house in when it's cold outside?
I wear ugg boots, which incidentally should not be considered an outside accessory! I can't believe girls are wearing them with skirts and stuff? Bloody nutty. Anywho I used to have Garfield slippers, I still have them, but they're totally falling apart now, so I keep them for nostagila sake.
Threesome: Rabbits-- Have you ever had little furry pets? What varieties? Are there any in your future?
Nope, well I suppose you could call our dogs little and furry, but I don't care for dogs so... My canary Frankie was fluffy...oh, dear Frankie! Don't know if I'll ever get another pet, I'd like another canary, but I don't really have room for one, in all this mess I might knock the cage over.
Hmmm, well that's all I have to say about today.
Goodnight all!
