Saturday 11:54pm: Man, it's late and I'm damn tired, but I'm gonna do the Friday Memes because I can't just leave 'em hanging like that!
Five on Friday
Father of Mine
1. What characteristics do you think are most important in a father figure?
Ummm...understanding, patient (LOL! that's gotta be hard!), good sense of humour 'cause we all have to laugh...(although now it sounds like a personal add :OP) Open minded and stuff like that.
2. Do you think you are, or will be, a good father? And for the ladies, do you think the men in your lives are, or will be, good fathers? Why?
Dunno, guess so, although my big bro might be a bit of meanie as a father! And er...I sure can't imagine my little bro having kids.
3. How would you characterize your relationship with your father? What are the challenges, habits, or circumstances that make it unique?
Dad rocks! :OD And seeing as I'm the only daughter I get a bit spoiled...we never got pocket money, but Dad will buy my bros and I little things if he'll think we'll like 'em (sure they're from the Two Dollar Shop, but they're still cool). Dad and I also have anxiety issues in common, although he doesn't really sympathise with that or any of my often complaints about my aches and pains, LOL! But I enjoy spending time with Dad although sometimes it's hard to have a convo with him now he's gone a bit conservative on us. Alas!
4. What is your fondest memory of your grandfather?
Maternal Grandpa: Going on the yatch! Grandpa used to own a yatch called Eureka which he sailed all over the world, back then I didn't get motion sick, so it was a lot of fun going on it and we had lots adventures. Saw porpoises and sailed through a storm! We even saw the New Year's Fireworks from it. Good times, good times. :O) It was fun sailing with Grandpap.
Paternal Grandpa: Died before I was born, so I never knew him. He liked ice skating though, so that's something we have in common.
5. Would you ever honor the men in your family by naming your children after them? Why or why not?
Well, no, if only because I'm not having any kids...plus I kinda have names picked out all ready :OP I could give them hypothetical kids my brothers, father's, grandfathers (have the same name), or Uncles by giving it as their middle names. But that's all speculation!
FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q1 - Name It: If you were asked to put together a band, what would you name it and what kind of music would you play?
LMAO! You've obviously never heard my sing have you? Or play a recorder. Anyway,l I suppose if I had no choice I kiss I'd call it The Moose Experience, and we'd play Beach Boys and whatnot style music, 'cause I hate the new stuff. :OP
Q2 - Food: When was the last time you ate cake, and what type of cake was it?
Geee..it was a while ago...chocolate cake I believe...good eating!
Q3 - eBay: Have you ever bought or sold something on eBay? If so, what did you buy (or sell)? If not, why not?
Brought stuff on Ebay yep...the last thing I brought was a Robotech novel to complete my collection, well almost...the other two books I don't have were said to be crap though.
Q4 - Training: How useful do you think diversity or sexual harassment training is in the workplace?
Dunno, never had any...but that sort of stuff needs to start early, like throughout Primary and High School, I mean a person's not gonna suddenly change after one session! It has to be a long term thing. That been said it's still a good idea to lie down the law.
