The Ball Was OUT!
Jun. 24th, 2014 10:43 pm10:23pm: Yep, Wimbledon time and I've just seen footage of a guy saying words to that effect to the Umpire, I don't think he was successful with the call, LOL.
Meanwhile, Little Lleyton is on! He's one set up, but stuck in a tie break for the second set. Man, these things can go on foreveeeer! Lleyton's getting pretty old now for a tennis player - he's 33 and this will be 16th Wimbledon! Can he make it, or will age eventually wear him down? Hard to say.
In other news the English test and the interview were today, both went pretty well, but I'm still leery about what I'm expected to do, the course for example will involve work experience for two weeks at an acute care facility! And with the Home Care job it seems even if you don't really want to do Personal Assisting (i.e the shower thing) you still need to do it. Dang.
However at the Home Care place they apparently have a system to earn a Certificate III in some sort of Health and Community thing, maybe I should look into doing that instead? I don't even know if I can change courses anyway.
Also, most unfortunately for me, my lower leg muscles are still fucked up and having to do a fair bit of walking today hasn't done anything to make them feel better. Also driving the manual car to the Home Care place in slow traffic also made life difficult. I'm quite worried about it having something to do with my achille's tendons, but Dad seems to think even if it is I shouldn't worry about them snapping on me or something. This though makes going to check out the Gym at the Digger's Club not an attractive prospect, which displeases me.
And that's pretty much all I have to say for this day, the Home Care people says they'll check my six references (three work, three personal) and get back to me, probably on Thursday. Depending on what goes down the car situation may move forward, or not.
Now, I shall bid you all goodnight!
