anonymoose_au: (Awww...He was my Best Friend)
9:23pm: Actually I didn't tote or lift anything, that was up to my big bro and Dad, they have to move the new washing machine up two and a half flights of stairs and then move the old washing machine down the same number of flights. They seem to be OK, fortunately, I was worried someone was going to throw their back out. Alas there's dust everywhere, including up my nose. Daaaamn.

In unfortunate news, my mother's nepotism didn't work, the Parish people didn't hire me. They said I seemed to lack confidence during the interview and more importantly apparently from the way I answered questions suggested to them that I wouldn't get along with the team as well as the person who was offered the job. :O( Well, that sucks, I didn't think I said anything too outlandish...maybe I didn't.

Three more job possibilities remain...

In good news for my DVD storage I found slimline double DVD cases! Niiiice. I can hold twice as many DVDs in those. Good times. Although I accidentally brought some single ones, which is OK, since as Mum pointed out some DVDs just won't be able to go together.

Anywho! Let's have the Memes, please!

Monday Movie Meme

This week's movie topic is all about Appreciation...

I'm reading a memoir of sorts called Film Club in which the author shares how he let his son drop out of high school and gave him an education via the movies instead. I'm not a fan of his idea, but the reading is interesting. I thought the following observation was particularly true..."the second time you see something is really the first time. You need to know how it ends before you can appreciate how beautifully it's put together from the beginning." Here are some films that we have found a greater appreciation for the more times we've viewed them. Share on your blog those movies that get better the more you see them.

Well, of course, BTTF would be on the top of the left, I love watching that one over and over...

Flying High (Airplane) - hey it does! Even when you know all the jokes!

In fact all my movies are like that, except for X-Men III What the Hell was that crap?

Manic Monday

18/10/10

Growing up, what was your favorite sitcom?

Hmmm, I was actually quite a fan of The Nanny, Caroline in the City and Spin City. Good times...

What's your idea of a romantic date?

Don't really know...never really thought about it.

What are you most afraid to lose?

My family and friends (knock on wood - gulp!)

Sunday Seven

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:

Name the top seven skylines you’d enjoy seeing outside your window if you could avoid the hassles that come with actually living in a major city. (For extra credit, place an asterisk next to any of the cities you select that you’ve actually seen in person!)

1. New York City!
2. Los Angeles *
3. Paris *
4. Rome
5. Athens
6. London *
7. Dubai

Righto then, that's all I have to say for now. Back to the video dubbing!

Goodnight all!
