The State of Things
1. Do you have health insurance? If so, what's it thru (job, spouse, etc)? Is it decent? If not, do you have a real need for it?
Thankfully, as an Australian basic health care is free - or at least you get most of it back and if you're poor it is free. Although not dental care, which is totally lame. I do have private health insurance though because...well if you can afford it you should get it, take the pressure of the public system since it's so overwhelmed at present.
2. Do you have a job right now? If you do, lucky you! If not, how long have you been out of work, and what are you looking to do? How do you feel about the economy and finding a job sooner than later?
It's a bit touch and go, but I'm doing OK, so phew! Because I have enough trouble getting a job when the economy was booming! Don't even want to consider how hard it would be to find a job in troubled times!
3. What's your housing situation in this current 'crap for an economy'? Have you lost your house, or have you been able to keep a roof over your head and not get into economic trouble?
Well, Australia is (knock on wood) in a far better place than most other countries, so I'm doing well. I'm getting $900 next month as part of the stimulate the economy thing. I'm thinking of getting one of those GPS things so I stop getting lost when driving all the time.
Yawn! I'm way too tired to do the rest of the memes, but suffice to say that last answer reminds me that Google Maps let me down today. I got directions from it to where the boss's car had to be dropped off to be fixed. But the damn stupid thing lead me and the maintenance guy (who was doing the actual drivin of the boss's ute) in the wrong direction at the very end! Most disappointing! Isn't the first time Google Maps has let me down, once it told me to go up a one way street in the wrong direction. Tsk tsk.
