Awww, Nuts!

For three glorious minutes I thought the job of my dreams was on offer...well, OK the job of one of my dreams, an opportunity to get into the world of Sydney University Libraries. They have the best books there! And as a staff memeber, I'm sure I'd be able to borrow them!

So there was a Position, for both people inside and oustide the Uni for once, to get in on the ground floor! I was so excited! Alas, on closer inspection I saw they were specifically looking for a person of aboriginal descent. Which isn't me. Oh well... I shall have to look elsewhere. Although at the moment, the picks are so slim it's criminal I tells ya!

I'm looking forward to eating the sausage roll I've put in the oven, better be careful not to burn it because it's downstairs and I'm up here in my room.

I was gonna play Sims 2, seeing as I haven't done so in a while, but I have to find some things to apply to!

So, short entry syndrome strikes as I go off to look for them.

Well, it's like two months late (at least according to Amazon), but my little picture book about G III! Yay! Those little piccies are so cute :O), aaaah, books are fun.

I was quite concerned when Burg told me there was a package waiting for me, because that meant it had been outside all day and I think it might have rained and some point and the whole thing would have been soaked! It felt a bit damp, but it was fine, no funny looking pages (you know how they get when they dry off).

It also took my mind off my extreme lack of luck looking for jobs. They all seem to be from those temp agencies and whatnot, those places have never done anything for me before! You just waste half a day of your time, so that they never ever call you back. Hmpf!

Ooh, the sun's setting now, but it's in a bad spot and has nearly blinded me, now I've got white spots in front my eyes...dang.

Hmmm...I'm thinking I need to do something with myself in regards to physical activity and whatnot, ever since I got my sore knees and then I got sick I've hardly gone out at all! My pedometre is languishing! Of course, wouldn't you know it, now the weathers gone shitty...

Of course, they've opened the path so it's easy to get up to Coles now, only problem with that, is whenever I go that way I'm tempted to purchase Diary Milk chocolate and Kraft cheese, thus negating the whole walk up then down there! LOL!

I'm resisting the "BUY CHEESE! BUY CHOCOLATE!" impulse at the mo...because I found out yesterday I'm four centimetres (ie a bit over an inch) away from being at four times the risk of developing Diabetes! Jeepers! I know! And if I don't stay active you can add twice the risk on top of that! Although, I suppose the report could have been scaremongering...they didn't mention being oversized is a big problem in the world, I think they meant the western world, most of the world is still dying from malnutrition. Which reminds me of a nasty statistic I saw on a doco today...something about how we waste 100s of tonnes of edible food a day! Talk about shoving it in the African's faces (or not as the case may be.)

Hmm...yeah, so no luck in the job search, I even tried to call up the Community Centre to volunteer like my mother told me to, but all I got when I dialed the number was the squeal of a modem! Tsk tsk.

Anyway, I'm off again, more job hunting to be done I guess...
