But I did this interesting quiz:

How's My Personality? )

I've just been watching a movie called Roguh Skies about a co-pilot who had to take control after his plane blows a door, ficitonal of course and includes much suspense in the the form of a crazy ass killer, who happens to have a pilots licence! Will he help get the plane down, or shoot everyone with the gun he managed to get a hold of with no explanation...Actually there might have been, but I was listening to the Halleujah chorus at the time. Damn, that's a great piece of music!

Oh dear, I've just heard that a large ship has sunk in the Red Sea...I hope all the passengers are OK, it didn't give any info about how long it took to sink, so it's hard to know if everyone got into their lifeboats.

Hmmm...well, I better get to bed I suppose...if I get a job I've got to be more used to getting up at a reasonable hour, LOL!

Good night!

Five Guilty Pleasures

1.Reading the Archives of People's Live Journals: I'm all over this one, whenever I'm totally bored (and sometimes even when I'm not) I enjoy going back to the beginning of an LJ and reading it all the way through. May have something to do with history and backstory, both of which I love. So beware, LJ Friends the deep dark secrets of your past will be found out soon enough by me! :OP

2.Crime Shows: It's kinda weird to be so intrigued by the horrors of crime (particularly when I hate Horror movies as I do), but I'm actually more interested in the whole investigation part and the technology involved. But any time there's a crime doco to be watched I'm there!

3.Romance Novels: I'm embarrassed to admit I read these, they're good for a laugh and a good way to distract oneself while on the bus on the way to a stressful situation (job interviews etc aaieee!)

4.David Eddings' novels: On the whole I'm not really in for Fantasy or Sci-Fi (despite my love of BTTF), but I absolutely loved David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean and the supplementary novels that went with 'em. So I always enjoy having a read of those.

5.Air Crash Investigations: As with the Crime Shows it's a wee bit disturbing I so love everything to do with the investigation of these things, but the whole method and technologies are really quite cool, so you know.

12.00pm: Well hey as it turns out I have a use for that icon of mine after all...not one day back at the parentals and my mother is all ready yelling and shrieking at me! People should at least be nice, after all I came back here to help her with her stupid after-church party. Frankly I'd rather not even be there. Oh, not to mention wanting to use my car to return a stupid table, maybe she can just carry the damn thing back to the shop.

And last but far from least, Uncle Sam and Aunt Jo are sorry to say that I can't stay in their little house indefinately so on the 25th February I have to figure out what to do...I know if I come back to the parentals Mum will delight in yelling at me again, but what can I do for accomidation, only one of my friends lives away from home and they all ready have flatmates. I shudder at the thought of moving in with complete strangers who'll probably drink and listen to loud music and throw up...

I suppose I could try [livejournal.com profile] bookscorpion's parents, the own an apartment that is currently empty, although they may be trying to sell it...perhaps if I can prove I can keep Sam and Jo's place clean and their garden nicely watered I can use them as a reference and BS's parents will let me live there. Otherwise I suppose I'll look for studio apartments out in the middle of the donga (Ie: an hour's drive or so from the centre of Sydney). Dad (poor Dad! He's getting the worst of Mum, he hates yelling- I think he gets tinnutis so with good reason- so even if Mum's not yelling at him he still gets a headache from it) said he once lived out in the sticks when he was starting out, combined with a hideous job.

I shouldn't be too hard on my parents though, who have given me an oven to cook with and I suspect they'd let me keep it. But it's hard to be thankfully when views are so in opposed, Mum says the real reason she wants me out is not because she thinks 22 is too old to be living with one's parents but because of they way I keep my room ie: a mess. I though hardly notice the mess, or if I do don't think much of it, hence it's difficult to clean it up, plus it has to be said I have way too much stuff and no where to put it so...

So basically the room stays messy, Mum gets pissed off and seeing as it is my parents house (it's not their car though! I paid them for that) they have a right to be upset, but people should be nice to each other at least. And on the plus side my big bro has apparently decided to stop being an asshole at least when I called him today.

Anyway, all that being said, I better go and get my stuff ready to go over to Sam's. Wish me luck.

3.51pm: I think there's too much dust in this room, I've been coughing, my nose has been running and now my ear is itchy...I may well have brought this on myself with my sancitimonious statements re keeping room messy. Ah, how the mighty have fallen!

Anyway, Ii'm not going over to Uncle Sam's until tomorrow, which is good, because I don't have everything together and I want to set up my tapes and so forth.

But the Church Party is still on, even though the weather is shit out there (man I've just realised I've been spelling weather incorrectly during my entire AIM convo with [livejournal.com profile] docsgirl, how embarrassing!) I hope it doesn't rain on us while we're out there...all the biscuits will go soggy and so on.

But moving right along...

The All-Important Memes! )

Had to run off to Church before finishing this which is why I'm posting it more that three hours after I started it. The good news is, it didn't rain and I didn't even have to do that much for the party.

The bad news was on the news tonight, that ferry that sunk yesterday has resulted in a large ammount of deaths. There were 1400 people on, but not very many were found alive, the whole disaster reads like the Titanic tragedy. Captian didn't even put out the lifeboats! I also heard of a large number of deaths in Manilla, where there was a stampede, apparently a huge number of people showed up to get tickets to this game show. It seems the game show offered a large amount of prize money which was why it was so appealing. How awful :O( those poor people.

Cripes, the news can sure be depressing.

Anyway, off I go again...

Back to the Future II was on tonight, so I decided to watch it...ah great freakin' flick! :O) After that I started watching this thing about Hanging, ghastly disgusting practice (along with the whole Death Penalty) thing it is too.

Anyway, I found this list of some of the 200 hanging offences of 1808 Britian pretty fucked up:

* Attempting suicide (Killing yourself is a disguisting, dirty, hideous thing...and to punish you we're going to kill you, I hope you learn your lesson!)

* Being in the company of gypsies for one month (Righto...? I hate to know what they did to the gypsies!)

* Vagrancy for soldiers and sailors (Cripes they must have been lenient about this one, otherwise over hald the damn army would have been hung!)

* "Strong evidence of malice" in children aged 7–14 years old (Dude, this is fuckin' sick! Hanging a seven year old? What human being would sit back and let this happen...sick.)

This show is shameful! I can't believe anyone would be a hangman, and half these guys seem to enjoy it...sick fucks. And you know making statements about feeling sorry for this that and the other fellow isn't going to cut it. They better have some good explanations for God when they get up there...apologies and whatnot.

But to a more lighthearted discovery, did you know in Chinese Sign Language the finger mean 'First born son', LMAO! That takes the fun out of giving the finger in that country...everyone would just be wondering what's with all the references to 'First Born's' with these Westerners. :OD See Here.

Also on that page is the link to a video of George Bush giving the finger! For real! Now I've seen the icon of it going around, but I thought it must be fake or something...but no the dude actually did it on TV for everyone to see. Cripes, that's terribly amusing on one level, and on the other unprofessional as Hell...I mean can you imagine Coffi Annan doing that?

Ah Wikipedia, you crazy resource.

And look at this! I saw it on the Wikipedia page for The Simpsons.

Dude! I'd give anything to fly on that thing! How cool is it! It's beautiful! :OD

My knee is playing up again, it's such an ass! I haven't even been doing anything...at least not that I remember, so what's this all about I have no idea...I have to call that person my mother went to when she had leg problems. Although I'm not sure if they can do anything for me, except for exercieses which I always forget to do!

Geeze I'm tired for some reason, I don't recall not getting enough sleep last night, but cripes, I think I'm gonna take my parents' lead and go to sleep early. I have to figure out what to do tomorrow re: taping, there's something I want to tape on History Channel this week...but The Simpsons are on tomorrow and I think it's a new episode. It'll be kind of hard to tape both because I'll need to get someone to change the channel for me and that's always an iffy proposition.

Also I'm going to have to use up a whole lotta petrol tomorrow, because I kinda need to go to Newtown and put some stuff in my box...it'll make my room easier to get into so at least I could try and ask someone to change channel in here...except for the damn fact I've lost the remote control, pain in the figgin' ass!

Squee! The Chaser Team are coming back with a new show this year! War on Everything, LOL! I love those guys, it was rather depressing when their newspaper The Chaser ended back in 2004...They did say when I saw them at the Sydney Uni Open Day (total coincidence) that they were working on something...I think it might have been those short snippets of news on ABC-2 all of which I missed, but this is great! :O)

Right, with that I shall lay me down to sleep, yawn!
