Back to the Good Ol' Uni....
Feb. 28th, 2005 09:50 pmBut there new Enrollment/Class Allocation thing on the 'Net sucks ass! For one thing it's always not working, like too many people are trying to get on, so you can't change your damn subjects! This is terrible, I'm quite uncomfortable about missing out on class time because I like to be able to pick my week to give the presentation. I think I've mentioned this before? But I'll say it again just to make sure you've go it. ;O)
Hmm...right now I'm watching Investigative Reports and some guy has just said "You don't want to get kidnapped." Ahh...no DUH, what sort of advice is that? Honesstly? But it does seem that Dad is right, if you give the kidnappers the money they'll try and get more...damn...I guess a sting operation or whatever is the best thing. Although the FBI just showed up to say paying ransom does get the kidnapped person back...what the-? Confusing!
But yes, about my first day...Inequality and Power sounds like it's gonna be fun, although I had to leave half way through the lecture! Man, I sure hope I can pick the week I want :O( But I'm glad I got to keep it because the other subject that clashed Culture, Writing and Texturality turned out to be one of those la-di-da 'Deep Thinking' classes that I don't much like.
So anyway, I try to switch out of that into another required subject, but lo and behold they're all full! Damn, so I'd have to take two electives this semester and push the required subject forward...however my absent minded brain didn't think to enroll in a Writing Subject so I picked a Media one instead.
Then I discovered that CRIME is the genre in the Genre Writing Workshop, now that sounds fun! However, it is at this moment full, but openings could show up as the week passes, which leaves me to wonder if I should show up the subject I picked International Communications on Wednesday if I can't change into the Genre Writing. I guess I should 'cause I might really like it...but I still think I'd give it up for Genre Writing I am a Writing Student after all, but that of course brings up the whole 'Reading the Stories Outloud' issue. I suppose that this Semester I should try to read a story out loud, but it's just so hard to imagine. I mean it's one thing to feel a little on edge and whatever, it's quite another thing to get what I get-overwhealming terror, dizzing etc.
But anyways, enough about education...
