What a Bummer...
Nov. 5th, 2004 11:00 pmToday Oprah was having a special interview with the Bridget Jones's Diary cast including my own personal fave Mr. Colin Firth. I had planned to tape it, but today I got distracted when the Newsagency Boss called me at 9 a.m to ask me to come in today because lots of people are sick and tomorrow is a big Lotto Draw, so it would be busy. So, I wasn't at home to tape it, and I set the tape for Rugrats: All Grown Up anyway, so I missed it! Oh woe! :O(
I'm sure it will end up on the DVD, although it sure would have been cool to see Colin Firth on TV doing an interview! I've never actually seen him on telly outside of the movies and things. Nuts.
Anyway, I was late for Gender, Culture and Power and didn't work on the essay at all, oh dear, oh dear, must do that this weekend and of course the Psychology stuff, damn. How I'd get into this mess, anyway?
Also, work was not very busy, which was for the best as too many people in one place causes my brain to implode, although for reasons I unknown I didn't feel too good, which is strange. I hope it's not my fear of Fridays again.
It's November 5th in the US soon and I plan to time it so I'll be watching the parts of Part I at the correct times. Fun stuff! :O)
But assignments and mind-maps for the Psychology tests are most important, also I won't be working on the weekends (too expensive) so that'll be the only uninterrupted time I'll have.
I do very much wish I had a job with a chair, I hope everyone will get over their illnesses next week so I won't have to do extra time- call me lazy if you will, but I hate standing up for 7 hours, it hurts! }:O( Another point of interest, the boss is a bit...weird, I was supposed to be at the apartment for the Foxtel people who would be coming after 12pm. I forgot all about it when the boss rang and said I could come in, but this is the second time I've called the Foxtel people out and worst of all we're under contract and paying for a service we can't use!
But when I tried to explain this, the boss said he really needed me, so I all but had to come in, this wouldn't have bothered me so much I suppose if he hadn't made me stay for two hours on Monday even though I had a huge essay due in just two days! Perhaps its the life of a casual, but it worries me when people won't let you leave work for important reasons, I mean what if I felt really sick, would I have to throw-up or something before he'd let me leave? :O(
So, anyway, am tired and shall be going to bed soon, I hope the BTTF people don't try to take the money out of my account until Sunday evening because there won't be enough in there until then. I also hope my package arrives in good time- once I had to wait eight months because the postcode was off by one digit.
So, that was my day and now I'm off to sleep.
