Owwww! My frickin' BACK

My back is totally killing me- I've tried stretching it out, but the minute I stop it just starts hurting like heck again.

Damn the human spine! Damn it I say! Although considering it allows me to sit in my computer chair to type this maybe I should be nicer to it.

Anyway as today is Father's Day Mum wants me to come with her to see M and Grandpa and my Aunt. Unfortunately the dog is coming with us- I HATE going in the car with the dog it smells and it pants.

My room is still messy but I don't know if I can be bothered to try and pick stuff up now...my story is due on Wednesday and I don't want to hear it been read out- it's so embarrassing- my work always sounds like shit when it's read aloud. It sounds like a seven year old wrote it or something.

Bah humbugs! :O(

Anyway, Mum's calling me so I gotta run!

I Feel Ripped Off (and 12 Days to Go 'til The Sims2!)

I didn't see that kick ass hail storm that came in this afternoon- there wasn't a drop to be seen (well sort of...) in Harboard where M and Grandpa live. I was there celebrating Father's Day with some interesting soup, hard boiled eggs and some wacky cake. I didn't have the wacky cake I just ate the whipped cream- oh yum! The last time I tried to make whipped cream I ended up with frickin' butter! It was disgusting I had to throw it out.

So no hail storm for me! :O( Although I'm glad I wasn't my Dad since the poor guy got whacked in the chest with a hailstone and it HURT. The cars were OK.

Right now there's lightning! Fun! At 10:04! As it reminds me of BTTF which reminds me that today is a Back to the Future Day:

September 5th 1885 was the Hill Valley Festival, which Doc and Marty turned up at. It was quite a night with the new clock for the Clocktower been brought in and Clara (who Doc had saved from a terrible death) danced with Doc! This is a funny image if you consider what the Doc looks like ;O)

However Buford Tannen Local Town Outlaw shows up to kill Doc (who 'owes' him $80) and tries to feel up Clara, who gives him a well-aimed kick in the shins!

Marty also stands up to Tannen and ends up challenging him to a duel (or whatever the word is) for Monday after saving the Doc (with a nifty toss with a 'Frisbee' piepan) from getting shot!

After all that bru-ha-ha Doc and Clara go off star-gazing- lucky for them it was decent weather.

So anyway, I'm still rather worried about all this reading out stuff on Wednesday- I don't have to read it out myself, but seriously I don't care to hear it read out by someone else either. I was looking at what I've written and I swear it's gonna sound TERRIBLE when read out.

Ah, shoot...

Hmm, interesting Compass on tonight about homosexual people in the Church- I'm going to tape beacuse it's something I agree with- that is God isn't against homosexuality. I mean consider the sentences and rules and stuff surrounding that particular passage in the Bible its a bit difficult to believe that some guy just didn't put it in there. I mean women are unclean, don't eat pigs I still don't get that one.

But has anyone ever noticed to paraphrase Ned Flanders- If you do everything the Bible says you'll do stuff that contradicts the other stuff.

In the famous Sodom for example Lot offers to prostitue his daughters to prevent the 'horrors' of homosexuality and THEN he ends up having SEX with them. I ask you, who's the pervert?

Although not knowing Lot I shouldn't pass judgement- but really, there's creepy stuff in the Bible and frankly I feel you should probably put Jesus' commandment 'Love Each Other' above all that stuff.

Anyway, enough about this stuff, I'm looking forward to the Compass.

Weird Rewind tonight, did you know back in the 50's you could get tossed in jail for carrying porno- the regular kind. Geeze if THAT law was around now, every newsagency and service station would be screwed. Although this Composer guy didn't get tossed in the slammer he did leave the country, weird man.

Wee! This lightning really cool! I love lightning! Well, not when the lightning and thunder strike at once- scares the shit outta you that.

And now it's raining- good to see rain the grass has been suffering and the storm is upon Cammeray as I write.

Bet it's nowhere near the friggin' dam, pain in the butt that thing, we really should reassign our dam or all get water tanks.

Anyway off to surf the net and hope nothing terrible goes down with my computer!

Well Dang.

Archbishop Pell is embarrassing me again- he and John Howard have this thing going of making certain groups look dumbass. With Johnny it's Australia as a whole, with Pell it's the Catholics.

Seriously, I bet if I'd remained in the Socialist Alliance or whatever as a practicing Catholic I'd get my butt kicked. Really, at my first meeting they were really digging into religion- this pisses me! }:O( It's exactly like saying the Muslim Community is like Osma Bin Laden. We're not all close-minded morons, besides Pell would never vote for Bob Brown so there you go.

Seriously why hasn't anyone asked Pell about the Lot thing- we've got people talking about not eating pigs, people asking about whipping people, but no-one's ever mentioned that whole daughters thing. I'd really like him to explain that one- with a better remark than "Well, that was the social mores of the time." Which doesn't make sense when you think about it.

Perhaps I should send a letter to the man?

Or maybe even the Pope! But I don't like to pick on the Pope, he's pretty old and quite ill, I wonder how he's going. My Dad taped a concert for the Pope in 1984 and wow 20 years ago he was in great shape! In his Pope Mobile, dancing and stuff.

Besides the Pope's cool, I don't really care for Pell he's really a pain.

Incidently about the whole pretend you're not homosexual or surpress it or something: I'd be SO pissed if I found out the person I married (theortically) didn't even want to BE there! I mean I'd feel terrible, like I'd violated them or something.

Although they always have the homosexual people who feel they can be cured- I wonder what that's all about? Does it work? I suppose it would if you didn't want to be a homosexual, but that would depend if sexuality really is based on whether your mother smothered you as a kid or whatever or if it's in the genes.

What do you people think- ooh, touchy topic.

How do you find out you're gay anyway? What if you're not interested? That was annoying too, one time someone asked me "Do you like boys?" and when I said no they said "So you like girls then?"
And I said no.

I do like Mr. Darcy though! :OD Ahh, dear Mr. Darcy Pride and Prejudice ended tonight, but I have the DVD and a very nice Making of... book. Noice.

Deep thoughts tonight, although I'm still trying to get over Friday's discussion over whether Prostitution should be legal, I was catergorical about saying 'no' and there was only ONE person who agreed with me!

I was also trying to argue I didn't blame the prostitues for it, it is the clients after all, but geeze what's so bad about 'discouraging- strongly discourgaing' people from paying people to have sex with them! It's acutally true that people get a trip to a prostitute as present! :O0 Is that something you really want to buy?

I had people left and right saying this was a paternalistic, high-handed attitude that wasn't allowing freedom of choice. This is something that often annoys me- I mean not EVERY choice you make is good- I could jump off a roof if I wanted to, but I don't think it'd help me very much. And if someone told me not to do it, surely you wouldn't say they were oppressing me, would you?

Although there was mention that legalising is not encouraging, but making sure there's legal protection from ending up getting ripped- off and beaten up, which would definitely be a benefit. But how would you police that anyway? Cameras that record everything?

Eh...whatever...should I lock this...nah, who reads this stuff anyway?
