I'm Ever So Pissed
Jul. 1st, 2004 07:17 pmYou know, I just realised something, my brother had to wipe my old computer so the people who rented this place out briefly could use it and I've JUST realised that he wiped off my entire 2002-03 journal. Dang it, I had all this stuff about working for my old boss Albert in Manly in that thing. Humbugs to you all!
On a better note, yesterday I saw Spiderman 2 it was so cool! The day before that I went and saw Shrek 2 with my Grandmother, we both loved it! I especially liked the bit at the end and all the English voice talent they brought in.
Good news as far as work's concerned, I've done such a good job (ahh, I'm so modest)that they've put me on Level 3 pay so I get more. Unfortunately it's still only 6 1/2 hours a fortnight. So I'm not going to be rich from it that's for sure. I can't believe Dymocks never called me back, you know that's really very rude.
According to the news though there's been a 24% rise in job vacancies- I certainly don't see it, unless all the jobs are for qualified people. Not been qualified that's NO help at all.
Fourth topic: What do you think about Saddam? Turns out he's alive after all and he's in court right now. Anyway, there's all this talk about the Death Penalty and all these politicians were saying stuff about how they 'won't interfere with Iraqi Laws in this issue'. Which is sort of weird since whenever foreigners are involved it's 'barbaric'.
I also saw something in the paper yesterday that I DON'T believe, George Bush replying to a handwritten note! I didn't think he could write, I read in a magazine yesterday that he doesn't read the newspapers- this is a bit of a worry. No wonder he doesn't seem to know what's going on. I should probably give the man a break as I'm scatter-brained as well, but I'm not trying to lead a country am I? You have my permission to criticise and fear me if I do.
Hooray! A satillite has arrived at Saturn, my favourite planent (the rings you see and the fact it'll float in a bath), I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures when they arrive.
And FINALLY oh woe! The pain! The pain! The Henman and Li'l Lleyton are gone- theres's nothing more to be done at Wimbledon, at least I thought so until I realised there's still Aussies in the Doubles. Ah I love the doubles especially if they wear matching clothes- very cute!
Anyway, that's all I have to say at this particular moment in time. Except what's the deal with the spell-check on this website? It doesn't recognise contractions? (Heh- they u go Tute Leader who said I didn't know written English proper ;OP )
Oh, I got my story back for Short Story Writing- the teacher said she really enjoyed it, but she's got this thing about me writing it in the 3rd person, I don't know why, I don't think it'd be as fun. But maybe I'll do it and send it to interested parties to see which is better.
Cyas :O)
