Phew! I've now completed three out of 12 months worth of Sims Mood Bars in my LJ. This requires me to go and change the picture locations of every bar to the presaved images in my Photobucket Account. And it's taking FOREVER! But alas without that Find and Replace feature that's the only way it can be done...
Sigh! Onto the Memes!
Five on Friday
Last Will and Testament
1. Have you written your will?
Nope.
2. Would you prefer to be burried or cremated? Why?
Buried, 'cause I'd like a nice tombstone! Also the thought of getting burned to a crisp freaks me out totally! I know been in the ground isn't that much better...but hey at least my bones will remain. :O)
3. What do you imagine your funeral to be like?
To be honest I've got no idea, I don't plan on dying for some time, and it's possible none of my known relatives will still be alive except for my cousin Mack (20 years younger than me) and others...I guess they'll show up and all wonder about crazy Cousin/Aunt/Great-Aunt Moose. :O)
4. What would you like to be remembered for?
Writing successful novels!
5. Do you believe in reincarnation?
Nope, but I believe in heaven and that the dead can watch what's going on down here...so be on your best behaviour! ;O)
Friday Fiver
Public Square Questionnaire
1. What color is your hair?
Dark brown, with bits of gold, red and light brown through it...and one grey hair that keeps growing back!
2. When is the last time you accepted a dare?
Never, I'm a wuss! Although I did allow myself to be pressured into climbing up a tree...I get vertigo so that was a dumb idea! I had to jump off, I was in a harness and got the worst wedgie!
3. Do you think you could have an affair?
I hope not! That would be wrong and huge breach of trust among other things! Besides if for some reason I got married I'd take the vows seriously.
4. How often do you feel like walking on air?
Whenever a favourite program comes on TV! And that's pretty sad!
4. How about despair?
Not to often actually, I get moments of anxiety, but that's not the same.
Friday Forum
Schooling from Home!
1. Are you for or against homeschooling?
Dunno...well...actually, I'm not sure how good an idea it is after the age of about 11. Up to the time a kid goes into Year 7, I think a parent or tutor would be able to teach them. But unless you're going to bring in Science tutors, and art tutors, and language tutors etc your child won't get a well-rounded education. Also, it depends on the kid's temperament, if the kid is the sort who gets on well with other kids it would be unfair to deprieve them of the chance to socialise. On the otherhand if they're really shy keeping them away from groups could make it worse.
2. Do you there are more benefits from homeschooling or public/private
schools? Why?
Public/Private schools, teaching is hard, it's not just sitting on a chair writing examples from a text book, and a lot about school is interacting and working with others. An important skill in the real world and all kids should get as much exposure to it as possible.
3. Would you homeschool your children?
Nah, I don't have the patience for that! No way!
4. Do you think it's better for children to adhere to a fixed
curriculum or let them follow their own interests (unschooling)? Why?
Hmmm...it's hard to say...the second option would probably be eagerly accepted by kids, but once again a well-rounded education might suffer. After all, how many kids are interested in all the required subjects? It's cool for them to learn and spend time on their interests, but they've got to learn stuff they may not particularly be interested in. Just like in real life! :O)
5. Homeschooling has increased rapidly in the past few years. Do you
think it'll continue to be popular or is it just the current fad?
Not sure...I guess if it's like Distance Schooling here in Aus it might, with the rising access to video conferencing and whatnot kids could use the computer to do their lessons with trained teacher's from home and interact with other kids that way. Which would be interesting but they still need to get out and breath e the fresh air! :O)
Friday Fun
Fantastic Friday
1. What would make your Friday fantastic?
Getting my books from Amazon! I wanna read 'em, hold 'em...sniff 'em. :O)
2. Do you have a little ritual that makes you feel fantastic for the day?
No not really, I do like getting on the computer first thing to check my LJ Friend's Page to see what they've been up to.
3. What would you do to make somebody else’s Friday fantastic,… and why?
Make dinner for my family! That would definitely cheer my father up...I really should see if I can do that next week for a surprise. :O)
And er...visit friends I suppose...yes my company is that illuminating. ;O)
Friday's Feast
Appetizer
How many pillows and blankets do you sleep with?
At the mo I'm sleeping with three pillows (one U-shaped) and always with one doona.
Soup
What are you currently "addicted" to?
LJ, George III, The Sims 2 are top of the list.
Salad
If you could make a small change to your current routine or schedule that would make you just a little bit happier, what would it be?
LOL my mother to stop waking me up, I think getting woken up as opposed to naturally waking up throws my body off and makes me feel tired even though I'm not really.
Main Course
Which adjective do you find yourself using often?
"Sexay!" much to the discern of my grandmother and friends...
Dessert
Have you ever picked up a hitchhiker?
Nope, I wouldn't either...but if they looked like they were in trouble I might call the NRMA or the Police or something to see if they could come and help them.
Rest o' the Friday Memes haven't been put up yet...I'll do them later.
Now, Mum's telling me to clean the kitchen...hmpf, I didn't even eat tonight's dinner (tuna was involved..) so I gotta do that, and then to bed.
Good night all!
Sigh! Onto the Memes!
