11:24pm: So after looking more carefully online for answers, I downloaded a program called ISOBuster which is able to recover data from DVDs even when they can't be read anymore. I wasn't entirely hopefully, but...it worked! :OD The downside is firstly, the file recovered is one big one instead of the split into sections like they were when I originally recorded the DVD and secondly the file itself is one that I'm not sure will play on anything else. I think there's a way to convert them, but I dunno, it might cost money.

Plus this means I need to shell out for an external hard drive, so I can convert all the DVDs onto it...which I suppose might be a good idea, although I did go to some effort to label the DVD cases, and draw little pictures on them and everything. However, putting all of it on an external hard drive would save me quite a bit of space. There's a huge crate under my bed at the moment...

Anyway, I fear I'll be inflicting short entry syndrome on you all because I've managed to let myself get distracted and now I have to go to bed! Thankfully, I don't have to get to work early tomorrow but that doesn't mean I'm not sleepy! Especially after not getting enough zzzs over the last few nights.

What else? Well! I did manage to get the recording of Torino from the DVD, sadly I mustn't have adjusted the tracking or the tape was bad because the picture quality is shit. But I was still able to listen to what the Australian commentators had to say about Plushy. Clearly they thought he was awesome sauce. Ha! Also they chat way less then the US commentators so one was able to enjoy the actual program. Good times, good times.

And I shall be off now because I'm dying of thirst and I need to brush my teeth and put my acne cream on before I hit the hay.
