Well, That Didn't Go According to Plan...

anonymoose_au10:36pm: With regards to the "Open Mic Night", I had a busy day and I ended up going to the afternoon ice skating session at Macquarie Centre, which proved quite busy because I'd forgotten about the birthday parties that are held on Saturday. However, it wasn't as busy as that time I went on a Saturday during the school holidays, plus the party guests did leave the ice for quite a bit.
Before that I got all my laundry done too! So, I didn't have to be worried about that...however, when I left the Centre I left by a different exit than I usually do in the car and with my poor sense of direction I was terribly concerned that I would end up on the highway, or going in the wrong direction or late for church, which was more than a little stressful. I eventually ended up on the right road without any more wrong turns, but I think the stress got to me a bit and I started getting a headache. Since I was driving I committed the cardinal sin of not taking ibprufen right away...and still not taking it once I got to church - I only had ten minutes to sit up the laptop and everything, so to cut a long story short by the end of Mass, it was quite bad. I took the ibprufen, but it was too little, I managed to drive to my friend's house since it was pretty much on the way back to my flat all the while hoping the headache would clear up.
However, it didn't, by the time I got to my friend's I felt like crap. All I wanted to do was lie down, which is what I ended up doing, since accompanying one of my friends to go pick up Indian Food for dinner just made me feel even worse.
So yeah, my friends left to go to the "Open Mic Night" without me, and eventually my headache did go away, although I still kinda of nauseous, although I did genuinely plan to go to the Hall, and even entered the destination in my phone's Google Maps, but my sense of direction is so terrible that I was certain I'd put in the wrong place and when I got to the road that takes me back toward Dee Why, I decided to head home, even if the GPS was saying turn right.
Turns out that the GPS wasn't wrong, so major fail on my part, although to be honest it was probably the right move, apart from stomach discomfort I also feel tired as Hell so I think driving an hour or so later wouldn't have been a good idea.
I just hope that I'm not getting sick or something...I'm supposed to see M tomorrow and play Canasta! I probably should get myself to bed...
Oh! And I did miss the live stream of the skating show, but indeed some nice people put Plushy's performances up on YouTube, so I got to see them, yay!
