Top Ten Ways You Know You're Reading a Fan Fiction of Mine

10. Nine times outta ten the main character of the original work won't be the focus.
9. Any dates and whatnot will be meticuliously researched (annoyed by JK Rowling's lack of calender checking re: Harry Potter books)
8. It usually takes place in the past...anywhere from five to a hundred years ago.
7. They'll usually be a romance involved (I know! From me!)
6. The tense is fucked up because I can't figure out how to do that!
5. Nine times out of ten it'll be in the first person
4. All the spelling will be Australian, with the exception of 'Mom' (if the characters I'm writing are American).

LOL, that was harder than I thought...considering I've only ever published two fanfic stories on the net. One day there will be more and then I could add to this list "It'll be long-winded and epic, short stories ain't my style."

LOL! The first one sounds pretty funny, but possibly heavy, so hmmm...loaves of bread as shoes doesn't sound too good though, I bet anything and everything will go through those...Eh, I love watermelon, so I'll take the watermelon hat!

Crap, man, those choices SUCK! I guess I'll take my nose always running, it happens quite a bit for me, so I may as well...whereas itchy eyes are a cruel and unusual punishment.

Well, since I didn't find High School overly taxing, I'll say the latter, 'cause then I could feel smart-as! The first choice would just be a pain in the ass!

By "Hate" magazine do you mean something like Nazi Today or something? And would I be against it, or for it? 'Cause if it's the latter...shudder! But if I'm against it, bring it on!

Crap...my desktop computer, a printer that doesn't work, a whole lotta books, The Importance of Being Earnest and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason DVDs that I haven't opened. A roll of shiny ribbons, a pack of Cheese Wedges, a video, Eldith the Hippo pencilcase, my laptop, Simpsons figureines, plaster cast of my teeth (long story), Ferrari models, lava lamp. Pack of envelopes, speakers. Packet of 100 Crayola crayons, stapler, hole puncher, sticky tape, oversized green pencil, peg and match stick lighter, New York Snow globe, Gar-Trek cup with pencil in it. Wireless router thingo, chicken piggy bank, model of Empire State Building, Jane Austen novels, Harry Potter books, Bridget Jones's Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason book and The I Hate Fridays Collection.
Shit, that's a lot.

2. What is on your computer desktop?

Recycling bin, My Documents, The Sims 2 Update, The Sims 2 Nightlife, The Sims 2 Uni (hmmm...don't really need those), and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't be arsed to write out.

3. What is on your Fridge?

Apartment: Marge Simpson magnet, pizza coupons, 2006 calendar, sheep magnet.
Parentals: Whole bunch of stuff...including a picture of me with my uncle from those days when I had my hideous fringe.

Well, I better be getting to bed, I have to be at the airport at 11am sharp tomorrow, I hope I don't get lost (I've never gone from the parentals before...at least not by myself) and that I don't feel gross (been feeling generally malaised).
