1. Leave me a comment saying, 'interview me'.
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. (You must do this, even if it's filtered for my eyes only!)
4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. What's the deal with your love for George III?
Ah George III, I've been neglecting him lately.
It's an odd story, about two years ago, a fire alarm went off in the building at about 3am. Turned out to be a false alarm, but it took a good half an hour for the Fire Department to come and switch the damn thing off.
By that point any hope of getting back to sleep was shot, so I turned on the TV, flicked through the channels looking for something to watch and finally settled on a doco about George III.
I thought he was great! A lover of books! Boiled eggs! An eccentric. I just found his life story really intriguing, so I decided to read up on him.
Turns out he had a personal library with some 56,000 books - the basis of the British Library! He also paid for the world's largest telescope (at that time) to be built.
Plus you've got to respect the fact that unlike just about every other British king he didn't have mistresses, jolly good show.
He did have 15 kids though! Yikes.
2. Cheese. You love it. What kinds and for what reasons?
Alas, I'm not a cheese connssieur, I basically like one type of cheese...cheddar. As to why, well it's yummy! :OD
3. What is your dream job and why?
I have to say, I'm beginning to think that the words "dream" and "job" don't really link up for me. I'm kinda lazy...I guess being an author would work! I can stay home and write! :O) Or get paid for having my Live Journal...that'd be cool!
4. If you were known for being the artist who sang a certain song, what would it be?
Funny you should ask that considering how horrideous my singing voice is! I think it'd be kind of cool to have been the person behind Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys...I'd just need three guys to back me up. Or maybe Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees, but I'm not sure that I could hit the high notes, LOL!
5. If you could take a year and travel anywhere you like with no limits, what would you like to see?
I'd definitely go to New York! See the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park.
I'd definitely go to Kew and Windsor, the sooner has this exhibition about George III going on and go to Wimbledon.
Also Malta, where the paternal side of my family comes from, get back to my roots. :O)
I'd also like to go to Ireland - since it's the Emerald Isle and that's my favourite colour, plus you gotta love the Irish accent.
Oh and I'd pop by Tahit for fun in the tropics.
In other news, here's a quiz I'm sure Captain Jack would like to try....although I doubt the accuracy of it, considering my result:
Not only is the description completely wrong for me, I find been compared to a calculator offensive, although I do use them a lot, because I can't count! Pity the fool who'd hire me as their investment banker!
Finally, I should go out and get some fresh air, it's not as hot as it was earlier in the day (some 30 degrees C!), sitting in front of a computer all day isn't good for you!
Anywho, I'll be off to do that.
Ta ta for now!

You Are a Calculator |
![]() No matter what someone tells you, you're likely to focus on facts and data. You're a highly analytic person. You are only concerned with what you can know for sure. You look at situations objectively, and you have no problem approaching problems from multiple angles. You would make a good analyst or investment banker. You are confident enough to make tough calls and hard decisions. |
