So....very...tired...
Dec. 8th, 2007 11:53 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
10:55pm: I'm not sure excatly why, since I'm pretty sure I got a rather decent amount of sleep last night at my parents house despite Mum waking me up quite early in the morning.
In other news today was the work Christmas Party and it was a big success! Alas I forgot to bring the camera back from my parents house, I took a picture of the cupcakes with Merry Christmas written on them. I'll have to get it later on.
So, yes, the Christmas party was a big success, except for the fact that everyone but me and the Boss didn't wear the Fitzy business shirts! So I looked like a bit of a suck up. :OP
There was lots of yummy food to be had, although despite the fact it was a barbeque there were no sausages to be had! Shocking I tell you. There were chops though, and carrots, cucumbers, watermelon and Jatz! I love Jatz!
It was also good that Grandpa did the driving, because the Boss's holiday house seems to be rather out in the sticks through a National Park, so there's lots of winding roads and so on. It also took a good hour to get there!
But yes, the cupcakes were a great success and a good time was had by all.
FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q1 - Holy Crap!: What would you do if you saw someone who looked exactly like you? Would you approach them and attempt to have a conversation, snap a picture if you could get away with it, or just run like hell?
I'd be pretty damn freaked out I tell you! I mean I don't have an identical twin so where on Earth did this person come from?! Apparently though, my uncle once saw an woman in an ad who looked just like me. I've never seen this ad, but it sounded creepy to me. Although it would be interesting to see that ad to see the resemblance.
Q2 - Dreams: According to many sources, with a little training and discipline, it is entirely possible to control your dreams. Would you want to be able to control what you dream about when you are asleep, and if so, what are some of the things you think you'd choose to dream about?
Yeah, when I was a kid I used to be able to control my dreams so I could have a running story going on. Alas I no longer have this talent so I dream weird shit all the time! If I could control my dreams I'd dream about my George III story, because that would be cool.
Q3 - Pay Phones: After years of seeing its public pay-phone business migrate to cell phones, AT&T said earlier this week it will phase out its pay phones in 13 states by the end of 2008. While AT&T's decision doesn't mean the end of the pay phone--Verizon, one of the nation's largest pay phone providers says it is still committed to the pay phone business--public phones are becoming more difficult to find. When was the last time you used a public pay phone, and are you concerned that pay phones may eventually disappear altogether?
Last April when I forgot my mobile phone to call my little bro. I have to say though, the thought of there been no pay phones at all is quite a worry! Because seriously, shit happens and you might not always have a mobile, or if you do it might not work.
Q4 -Lingerie-clad Models: In Carmel, Indiana, some residents are demanding City Hall do something about the local Victoria's Secret window display. Parents are concerned that Victoria's Secret goes too far with its public-facing displays, and that local children are being made vulnerable to inappropriate images. Do you feel stores like Victoria's Secret should tone it down a bit, or is how they choose to entice shoppers into their store okay as is?
Not having any Victoria's Secret shops here in Australia I have no idea what the displays look like, but I suppose if it has mannequins in really compromising positions or holding whips or something it's probably pretty inappropiate. To be honest though, I doubt the kids would really notice, I certainly didn't notice shop window displays when I was a kid and I hardly do now.
