She Said What I Was Thinking!

anonymoose_au10:58pm: Heh, finally a chick came onto Style By Jury, who socked it to the jury when they made all their less then polite comments. I'm rather surprise no-one else does it, seriously, if some stranger, particularly one wearing a vest with nothing underneat tried to tell me how to dress I'd be arrange to met them in parking lot later for fisty-cuffs.
But then maybe this chick and I have the same problem, extreme defensiveness, if someone criticises me I can never take it, I mean I try to, but I have to add something like "I'm only like that because..." or "You don't get the situation...". My big bro and father and grandmother and just about all of the family have often complained about that, but I can't help it. I should use the advice of the Behaviour Coach they got, go to your blue dot of a calm...I of course would go to my green dot, because blue sucks. :OP
But yes, I didn't see the start of the show you see so I don't actually understand why she came in for a makeover because she was so convinced at the start that she didn't need one! Most people who go on makeover shows think they need a makeover don't they? Very odd. But yes this woman was very standoffish, SO standoffish that she really insulted the hairdresser! Poor guy, he almost cried! But then she works in law so maybe she's too used to getting up and defending people. Lawyer's can't be too nicey nice!
Anywho, moving on, I should be getting to bed incase I'm going to work because you never know, my shoulders are OK now, but I'm not sure what to do...Give me some advice over the net would ja, my trusty LJ friends.

Politics and Relationships
1. What do you think about this whole Thailand coup thing? Do you think over-throwing a government is just? If there was enough reason to do so, would you help accomplish such a task? Why/why not?
Well, it was a bloodless coup, so that's a big relief! But if it had been voilent I don't think that would have been justifible. I would think a reason to overthrow the government would be an unjust and unfair election. I mean I hate having John Howard as Prime Minister, but alas that's what the people vote for. Lame but you gotta accept I guess. But yeah, I might participate if I was in North Korea or something and we were overthrowing Kim whatever...Not if guns were involved though.
2. Iran. What do you think of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his politics? Aside from his eccentricities, do you really think he's an enemy or is doing bad things? Why/why not?
I haven't heard that much about him to be honest, last I heard about Iran was the other day when I found out they were going to stone someone to death. What the Hell? That's just not right! I'm not sure about the nuclear weapon things, I mean Ted Turner made a point when he mentioned that the US and Israel have nuclear weapons. Really, it's hypocritical for the US to be on its high-horse. Although if Iran is sponsering dangerous groups they should be brought to account, like other countries who do the same thing! (I swear some decades ago, the US got in with some pretty bad groups, and they haven't even apologised or acknowledged it! The Developed world can be an ass.)
3. What do you think about open relationships? Do you think couples who do this are playing with fire, or do you think it can work? Would you ever do it? Why/why not?
Err...I dunno, part of me thinks that it'll never work and eventually someone's gonna get hurt, but another part doesn't think I can make a blanket statement about the whole world like that. Other people seem to do all right with it, so I guess.
Bonus Question for Comments: Even if you don't do politics, what do you think of the upcoming mid-term elections? Do you think it'll be same ole, same ole, or do you think something siginificant could happen this time around? Why/why not?
Do we have midterm elections in Australia? I don't think so unless someone gets fired or something, but State elections are about a year or so earlier than the Federal Elections. But I get in with the elections, because everyone's supposed to vote in Australia, which I applaud :O). I'm looking forward to next Federal Election, let's bring in some new blood!

1. Do you tend to read more books written by one gender over the other? If so, which one? Men? Or women?
Hmmm...I mostly read books by women, but often the main character is a man, which reflects my own writing, since my main characters are often male too.
2. Is this a deliberate choice? Or just something that kind of happened?
Nope something that just happened. I just realised a number of my favourite male characters were written by women! You go, girls. :O)
3. And (without wanting to get too personal), is this your gender?
I'm female.

Onesome: Ice-- skating? Yes? No? Rinks? Ponds? No way?
I love ice skating! I used to take lessons, but I was too scared to do jumps, so I couldn't go on. :O( But I still enjoy a good skate. I think it'd be so great to skate at the Rockerfeller Centre or something, cooool! I've never skating on a pond and I'm not sure I'd do so because I'd be afraid of it cracking and falling in, eek!
Twosome: Cream-- soda? The work of evil scientists or a true pleasure in life?
I don't drink soda, can't stand fizzy drink, yuk!
Threesome: Social-- Are you considered to be a social person? ...or are you more likely to not be comfortable with a bunch of people around you? ...and wait a moment: how about in a classroom situation? Is that different for you?
I dunno...I'm pretty social around my friends, :O) but around new people and just well people in general I'm not that much of a social person, I perfer to read and stuff. Heh, I'm a loser. :OP No, really, I'm cool.
