10:21pm: Yes indeed! You should have sen M kicking my ass this morning! She soundly kicked my butt when we picked up our game where we left off. We started another game and she's all ready ahead having managed to go out on me when I had quite a number of cards in my hand.
So like the title of this entry warns, well-rested grandparents are dangerous when it comes to card games. :OP
Anyway, can't talk too much since it's another early day tomorrow - Mrs. S keeps having to go places! - so I need to get my person to bed ASAP.
There's not much to report though... a typical Sunday for me at work, it wasn't super busy...or at least only in bursts, that always happens on the weekend, there's a lull and then suddenly all these people show up at once! Although the situation wasn't really helped by the fact that one of the computers isn't working properly, it won't connect to the internet which means the library management software won't work. I guess it'll be fixed tomorrow by the IT Department.
In other news, I'm still working on the rental application, fortunately taking a closer look I see that I don't actually need to supply six written references, only two. That's a relief, also I don't have to provide them straight away, which is good too because I don't have them yet!
Although, I do wonder about my future prospects...Mum says that she and Dad have been discussing all the new buildings that are going up and the possibility of getting one of the studio apartments. This, of course, brings up all sorts of fairness issues, like if the help me out what are my brothers gonna get? Mum says when I sell up I could just give them a third of the money - but what if I want to stay there until I'm super old? I mean there's going to be an elevator in there and everything...
But! That's thinking quite far ahead, especially since it's not like I have a full-time job that will make this financially viable for me. Tomorrow though, I need to find out about the Technical Services Librarian job at the Manly Library, what happens after 10 months when the original person returns from maternity leave. Do I move somewhere else? Or does the job and all the hours it has disappear? Because, that makes going for it less attractive.
Right, I better go, gotta make sure I get those zzzzs! I've been doing pretty well the last few days, in fact I might have been oversleeping a bit...still I better get a move on.
Goodnight all!
