anonymoose_au: (Hey! Bitches)
11:13pm: Yes indeed! It's been a very busy day, especially since I got a late start! I woke up at just after 8am, but the managed to go back to sleep for like two hours! However, there is an ice skating session from 2pm to 4pm, so I was sure that I'd be able to get that in and get the laundry done.

Not long before I was about to leave - and the first loan was ready to be put on - Mum called, she and Dad had headed out to go shopping and on their way they passed the line of cars for sale on Pittwater Road and what should they see? A Mazda 2...in green!

Well, I had to head over and take a look before the skating, of course it ended up being a close thing because my first load of washing didn't finish until 2pm, so by the time I put the second load on and hung the first load up then drove to Pittwater Road it was a quarter past and by the time I took a quick look at the car and took a photo of the for sale sign with the contact info on it it was almost 20 past. So I hit the road, dialing the seller's number before I started driving of course and arranged to meet the chap at his home with my mother in the afternoon.

I didn't actually I think I'd make it to the skating to be honest, but somehow luck was on my side and I was only five or so minutes late to the last hour of the session. Aaah, it's good to skate! And I hadn't forgot everything, and didn't even need to stick to the barrier. I'm think I should work out twice a week, swim three times (ie have one day when I just swim rather than go to the gym and swim after) and go skating once, at least until December when I'll be working on both Saturday and Sunday. Good plan.

After the skating I headed back home to drop off my shopping - which included milk and then headed on to get Mum so we could meet the guy, who doesn't live too far away. Nice chap! I thought it was Irish, but it turns out he's English - man my ear for accents is terrible - and he did have all the paperwork out for us to take a look at. Alas there are some issues, for one thing he doesn't actually have the Maintence Book, which Mum wanted to check to see what a major service might involve, for another it turned out the car has some dents on it, although he'd described it as in perfect condition. The dents don't actually affect the driving of the car, so it he might have meant mechanically perfect (Dad thought it was stretching the truth though!). However! It would seem Mazda 2's don't have drive belts, but drive chains, which if true is a big relief because they're meant to last the life of the car and will save money.

I also took the car for a bit of a test drive, since we took the man up to collect it and it's a really nice smooth drive - it's go low profile tyres and everything niiice. No bluetooth though, oh well. Frankly I was ready to put money down, so good thing Mum was there to talk sense into me. :OP I'm hopeful though! However, I have to call the chap's mechanic since apparently it's been service according to the KMs not the year so it might have missed out on getting stuff changed.

Finally, the NaNoing has gone quite well! I managed over 2,000 words today! I'm still behind of course, but it's not so bad, as you can see!

7386 / 50000 words. 15% done!

Go me! :OP

And as promised the Memes! )

And Foxtel is finally back, yay! Except now I want to watch it and I have to get to bed, booo.

But yes, off I go, goodnight all!
