10:27pm: Well, I'm sure you can all tell where this is leading...suffice to say I didn't get the car. It could still happen, but it'll be some time yet. Mum became involved, which I guess was for the best, but she thought it was ill-advised to get the car without checking it out mechanically, even thought I am buying from a friend who is probably the most trustworthy person I know! She did offer to leave me to decide if I was going to buy it myself, but I was rather frazzled by this point and didn't want to make the wrong decision.
So, my friend is supposed to email me the mechanic's report from the last service and give me (or rather Mum) permission to call the Service Centre to talk more about the car if needed. I haven't got the email yet and I can't help wondering if my friend is upset because she changed her plans for today so that I could get the car. Backing out at the last minute (even if it wasn't entirely backing out) is really bad form. Had I done this to a dealership, I'd be so screwed. They'd probably sue my sorry ass.
To further add insult to injury, I became very upset both before and after seeing my friend and started to cry...a lot...and I hate crying, it's like I'm allergic to my own tears because whenever I cry for any longer than a minute or so I end up with horribly burning and sore eyes. They're still sore now, which ironically is enough to make me cry...again, which you know will accomplish nothing.
I just don't know what to do...car buying is just so fraught! Buying a new car is a bad idea because it devalues so fast, buying a second hand car is a bad idea because it might need lots of work on it...there's never a right price. Buying from a dealer will probably result in you being ripped off, but buying privately might get you a bomb with no warranty to help you out.
So, the day hasn't turned out well at all! I did at least go to the gym and work out, I was almost going to forgo that, but that wouldn't have been a good idea.
Also, I got my laundry done, hopefully my black pants will be dry otherwise I have no idea what I'm going to wear to work tomorrow!

1. Do you believe that Walt Disney is really frozen? Nah. Although he could possibly be embalmed so he looks like he's been frozen.
2. Do you believe its easy to forgive and forget? Depends on what you're forgiving and forgetting. As a general rule, I think it's best to forgive even if you don't forget.
3. When you feel like running away from it all who do you call?Ghostbusters My mother.
4. Is there anyone who knows your entire life story? Aside from myself? Possibly all you readers since I do write a lot and reminence and whatnot.
5. Have you had to have stitches at all in the last year? I haven't had to have stitches since I was under a year old and had to have surgery, thankfully!
6. Which is coming next: Christmas or your birthday? Christmas, but my birthday is like two weeks later.
7. Have you ever been a clown for Halloween? Nope.
8. What time did you go to bed last night? Hmmm....11:30 I believe.
9. When did you get up this morning? 8:15am so I could get my laundry done.
10. When was the last time it rained? Today, at around noon.
11. Are your finger nails painted at the moment? Nope, I don't paint my nails often because I don't have expensive nail polish so it ends up all chipped in about a day.
12. Do you ever go hunting/fishing? I did go fishing with my grandpa and brothers when I was young, but I don't think I actually held the rod or anything like that. There was a fish caught though!
13. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child? Not as such but I used to make up lots of stories in my head.
14. Which parent do you look most like? My mother, there's a photo of me where my grandmother thought I was my mother, granted it was a group shot and my face wasn't all that clear since I was at the snow with a beanie and everything.
15. Do you have any friends who are famous? Nope...at least not yet! ;O)
16. Do you use eBay to buy or sell? Buy, and I've got some very good things from there let me tell you.
17. Is music a daily part of your life? I do enjoy listening to the radio while driving and listening to my music while working out.
