Ice Cream Man! Ice Cream Man!

11:11pm: Yes! Today when the parents dropped me back off at the Granny Flat along with more of my stuff who should be in a van just a few metres down the road, but an ice cream man! There was Greensleeves playing and everything. Man, I haven't seen an ice cream man up and about for aaages, the last time I think was about seven years ago, when my grandparents lived in a house (not the retirement village), sometimes an ice cream man would show up then.

So yeah, I practically leaped out the off the car and rushed on over before he left to get me a choc-top, yum! The husband of Mum's friend (they own the place) was there too. LOL. I must say though the choc didn't seem to harden fast enough, which was a bit of shame, but still super yummy! :O)

Anyway, once I'd finished my ice cream I helped Dad bring the stuff up here to the Granny Flat, which sadly isn't looking as clean as it could because I was in a rush to leave on Saturday and my laundry was still wet at the time. Ah well. Dad hung out with me watching some football while Mum had coffee with her friend, he was going to have some tea, but alas I don't have tea bags here, only coffee bags. I've never even heard of coffee bags! Weird.

But I've kind of done this entry backwards, because the most important thing to announce for today is that the apartment has been let! Yay! :OD I have to go to Newtown on Wednesday though for the signing of the lease, but Mum says she'll come over at pick me up after she finishes the Confirmation Mass that's going on that night, so that's cool. I hope it isn't pouring with rain though, because that's been happening on and off today and yeah...not cool.

In other news, still not sure what's going to happen with the car - although I'm severely tempted to purchase this, so I can at least have the car in some form, LOL. Although they also have a more detailed one, though that one is like three times the price. Still...tempting, tempting.

But I have to make the all important phone call to the In-Home care place to say if they're still hiring or what, as well as phone the ABC and apply for some more jobs etc.

And I was gonna do the memes, but...I've procrastinated on doing this entry and can't be bothered right now, LOL. I shall do it tomorrow, I'm sure you can all wait ;O)
