May. 24th, 2007 11:03 pm10:07pm: This stupid assignment is stupidly hard! I have to evaluate these three things and compare them with one another, each evaluation is supposed to be 300 words and the evaluation is 500, but I can't do it! There's not enough things to say! And I haven't even done the stupid Learning Journal thing so I'm not sure how I'm gonna answer that one. Ugh! This shit is stupid. And it's also three days late now...I think...I don't know...I'll go to the board and post a message asking.
Frankly if this is what teacher librarianship is...screw that shit. I'm definitely applying for that publishing assistant job...my co-worker seems to think the bosses wouldn't be that up the creek if I got the job and had to leave.
In other news I'm looking at this odd Sims site where you can get all the paid stuff on Sims sites for free. Now I've seen this sight before and was rather confused because it seemed to be saying it was illegal to make people pay for your Sims stuff, but apparently not. The legalese on the site is actually saying that because of where its based they can rehost the stuff and its not illegal for them at all! Well...that doesn't seem cool...I mean I've downloaded songs, but you could just as easily record them off the radio.
10:07pm: So yeah, basically I don't feel right using that site, since I've made like one typewriter on my own for Sims 2, it has not animations and apparently you can't turn it off once its on so it casts that weird compter glow forever! Anyway, it took me like three weeks to do that so if you're making like 50 objects I could see why you'd want some moneys for that. Besides it's a good thing a lot of them are paid otherwise I'd have soooo much stuff downloaded. Actually maybe not...there's an odd lack of 50s furniture and mid-calf length dresses for teens.
In non-related news I think I need a new AV cord thing because the sound on my Foxtel has been going funny all night...and that's not cool.
Oops, Kevin Rudd is in trouble...or maybe not, looks like one of his wife's companies was underpaying workers...maybe by accident, or maybe not. But is Kevin Rudd actually in trouble for this? His wife owns the company not him and it's not like she needs to tell him everything. Why would she have to give up everything just so he can be Prime Minister, unless she owned AWB or something (the wheat company that gets a big deal from the Government to export our wheat). Lame!

1. What do you think of all-time high gas prices? Do you think it's really due to supply & demand, or more towards Big Oil making money as a direct result of what is going on in the Middle East in general? Why/why not?
Frankly when you get right down to brass tacks oil should be expensive! It's the biggest polluter out there and is causing hardcore global warming, the less we buy the better, which is why I was bummed to see that on Temptation they're giving away SVU type things, what do you need with that thing? Get a Hybrid damnit.
2. Do you have a prediction for the outcome of the Iraq War? What is it? Why? If you don't have a prediction, why not?
Err, I'd rather not think about it, because it looks like it's really, really bad over there and I have no idea how it could be made better. Would leaving solve anything? Who knows, I ask you?
3. Do you think that music has suffered at the hands of technology? How so/how not?
Well, they do say all the pirating of music has screwed things up, or do you mean that people are using too much sythesised electronic effects rather than good old fashioned instruments... Frankly I don't care for most of the new musics, so perhaps yes?

I had an idea for a BTT question when I was taking a peek at one of my bookcases yesterday and spotted my old copy of the Aeneid in Latin sitting there. Maybe this question has already been done—but if not...Do you have any foreign language books and if so can you (still) read them?
Nope, I don't know any language but English, so that would be a no...I do have those Traveller's Guide to (Insert language here), Italian and Jewish or is that Yiddish, they were for a story... And now I'm not sure where they are! Whoops. They were on special though.

Onesome: Somewhere--, anywhere? Vacation season is just ahead (sooner than later for some depending on school schedules); do you have any plans mapped out yet?
Er...vacation season ain't happening around here until the middle of July and that's for three weeks if you're a student...If you're an office worker you get four weeks a year! Sob! I ain't going nowhere 'cause I'm poor...well maybe not, but I don't have anywhere to go really.
Twosome: beyond this week? How far ahead do you plan for your days off? ...or do they just show up and you enjoy whatever happens?
Well, having just started work I don't get any days off except public holidays there's one coming up in June for the Queen's Birthday, not sure if I'll do anything on that day, maybe I'll see if I can get together with the friends. Haven't seen some of them for aaages!
Threesome: the Sea-- Does that sound like the trip for you? Somewhere beyond the sea to an island for a week or two or twenty?
Well, I'd love to go to a tropical island, but not on a boat, because I fear the sea sickness. But it'd be so great to go swimming in that nice azure water, always wanted to do that!
Right, it's late for me and I arrived late to work today, can't do that tomorrow because one of the co-workers will be in.
So off I go.
PS. Sims PE is up for Seasons! Yayz, I'm hoping to start doing something with all those custom hairs of mine. It's a good program, download if interested.
