10:52pm: Oh damn! I've just found out that the conscience vote that allows embroyic stem cell research! I'm having a serious crisis of conscience about it too. I don't believe it's right to use embroyic stem cells, especially because adult stem cells seem to have more going for them at this stage and don't hurt anyone. So, what does one do if medicine starts been used with research from techniques that a person finds morally objectionable? And I don't really care for other pople using it either (I mean its not like polyamy or sex before marriage or stuff like that, it's something I feel is a terrible thing, like sitting back while someone's getting beaten up or something...) Having said that though...it's not like I think people will go to Hell or they're total monsters for doing it, but still, yikes...I feel awful about it. :O(
Right now I'm watching a show about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, there's this woman who is so afraid to lose stuff she checks EVERYTHING, like envelopes and ovens and stuff as if something will disappear into them?! And her poor husband has to help her, which is really sad. Although don't they have medication for this stuff?
And there's another man who has to make sure EVERYTHING is in the right place! Too within centimetres and everything! He spends all day in his house straightening everything, in his fridge everything is straight, all the nicknacks and then he has to count in twelves, which makes my head hurt.
My pyschiatrist said I had mild-OCD or something, but I don't think so...or maybe I do, I do hate to throw out stuff, although I wouldn't say I'd die if it happened, but then I'm said to have a lot of stuff. I better not think about it though because seriously, thinking about all that stuff is how you get it! So don't go there, girlfriends!
Ewww! This OCD-curing exercises are GROSS! This guy just drank some toilet water to prove it wasn't dangerous. Ewww! How pissed off would you be though, if you didn't wash your hands with the OCD and you got the WORST stomach virus ever? Also I wonder what that pyschiatrist would think of the Kitchen Crimes Unit, after all, that's all about how the germs in your kitchen are super dangerous (though as I've mentioned, they've yet to have gone to a house were people are sick because of their kitchens.)
Watching shows like this always make my brain hurt...
