anonymoose_au: (Hey Ma! Whaddya Think of That?!)
10:39pm: I hate it whne my mother volunteers me for stuff! Why does she do it! I demand my rights! She's roped me into babysitting four kids on Friday! Jeeeeze...now I'm working full-time afternoons are really short, plus you know I'm kind of tired what with getting up a 7am (yeah, yeah, call me a wuss :OP). Sigh! Well, at least I'll get pizza and be able to play the Sims since the girls can entertain each other, whereas before it was just me and the one girl, Katie, before. Still...

In other news I've got paper cuts, and one inparticularly is hurting like a bitch! Almost like a mosquito bite or something, but I don't know what to put on it, since it's not actually a mosquito bite...

Anyway aside from the annoying papercuts work was rather weird today, the high point was when this really long train came on into Central (which the building overlooks), we're talking 19 carriages here! It even had car carriage thing at the back, and the railway workers had to take the cars off and then put others on for the return trip.

Writing it all out makes me sound like a whacko train-maniac, LOL!

Aside from that it was a very strange day, because it's the winter solastice today, the shortest day, but the day just dragged oooon, there was so much to do, but then I finished up with it there wasn't nothing else to do, and you know you can't just go looking on the net at that place. I think we are actually affliated with the Department, because my fellow employees are on the database and everything, upon finding this out I realised that I'd been wearing my "A Just Australia" (aka a call for an end to detention centres) badge on my coat, which I was wearing every day. Whoopsie, but no-one seems to have noticed, so I ain't taking it off. Although if they make me do one of those workers surveys I don't think I can say I agree with what the department does. Nope, can't say that with a straight face.

Anyway, it's getting on in time so here's the Meme!

Wednesday Mind Hump

Wednesday Mind Hump

Hello all you humpers! It's time to do another Wednesday Mind Hump. Today is Less Is More Day, so today's question is simply:

Whatsup?

Watching the game...having a Bud...true...true.

Well, I'm going to go to bed soon and then I'll be getting up to go to work for seven and a half hours. I plan to play some Simmies when I get home, but I may end up getting distracted again. :OP And that's all I have to say right now.

Hmmm....I'm somewhat intrigued by this report on Lateline re: An Aboriginal Community in dire straits in Uluru. It's pretty awful out there and some members of the community are calling for help. On the other hand though, I saw an interview with an Aboriginal person today when he was saying they don't want the Government sticking their nose in and being all paternalistic or whatever.

So, I'm kind of confused...do they want help or not? I suppose there's a balance in there somewhere, although is being paternalistic always bad? That seems pretty sexist, would anyone go around using maternalisic as an insult?

And I've gone right off on a tangent now, and I be tired, so I shall turn in, good night all!
