It almost killed me...

And it certainly killed my brain cells, but I made it, I just made it...

I'm a Winner baby!

Unfortunately I can't print off the certificate because I don't have any paper, bummer.

Here, a brief run down of my day in my obsession to get those 50,000 words (although I'm only a little over halfway through!)

8:00am Wake up, get up head off to Dr's in my red car that has no God-damn airconditioning on this, one of the hottest December days in a decade.
Arrive early at the Doctor's office (for the first time ever I think, since I've started going myself) and write in my little notepad.

10.30am Return home from Dr's weather in mid 30s to 40s (celcius) out there, in my car it's a furnace, however lovely air conditioner in house allow me to cool off. Get glass of water, turn on computer open up 30 Years is a Long Time to Wait currently at 40,000 and a bit words and start typing.
I swear I didn't just write crap, well Ok I could call it a stream-of-consciousness thing, writing what comes to mind. Although before I put this sucker on my webpage I'll need to:

a) Finish it and

b) Make sure it's not to repetitive as writing teacher warned me!

1.24pm Stop writing because the men have come to fix the Box Thing (aka storage unit) so go downstairs to help. Unfortuantely Box Thing will need more work so the men need to come back on Friday if possible.

2.30pm Realise I should do papers, because I may not be able to come in for the next two days due to work. Unfortunately, I mistakenly believed it would be cooler at this time of a day, or something.
It's not, the bus is like a furnace, it is so hot in that thing! Not even the usually freezing air conditioning in the Uni is all that cold.

3.30pm Return home from Uni, with excuse to get out of any extra time tomorrow (although it'll require me to steal my nerves and I'm still worried that I'll get told off for reading a magazine on Tuesday) because of appointment with the supervisior. Sit back down and start typing some stuff I wrote in the bus on the way there and back.

6.00pm The Deadline, well so to speak it's 12am Pacific Time December 1st in the US, and I'm only on 44,000 or so words, bummer, but I decided to press on.

8.28 pm I'm going to get to 50,000 words before this day is out if it kills me, right now I'm 49,088 sweet BTTF number!
Make some frankfurts for dinner, yummy!

9.03pm 50,106 words done! The excitement! I rushed to the NaNoWriMo website to validate the novel, and am surprised to find I've been declared a Winner! Yay! I go and put the code on my website, 'cause I feel proud of myself.

And now I'd like to thank applescruffs85 for bringing NaNoWriMo to my attention! I had no idea what it stood for but when I typed it into Yahoo the info popped up and I decided to join up too, even though due to Uni commitments and writer's block I only had two weeks to write all the words (I don't advise doing this if you have a life). And in turn I thank timewanderer who, as I understand it is behind all this. Thanks! :O)

Ah, this has been a good, but tiring day and now tomorrow I have to get to work at 8am, sigh! I so hope he doesn't ask me to stay back because I really want to go to talk to the person at the Uni. They may offer me more work. Maybe I'll get Mum to call at 12pm to make up some reason for me to leave etc.
